I have sensitive teeth and depended on Sensodyne for many years. Through complaints from my dentist I now have to worry about my gums. In desperation I decided to switch up my oral hygiene routine. I've been oil-pulling for about 1 1/2 months but used Sensodyne as well. I was reading a blog that introduced me to Desert Essence Natural Tea Tree Oil Toothpaste. I read all the reviews (yes all) because with my sensitive teeth I wasn't ready to give up my Sensodyne. Through all the positive reviews (including receding gums), I decided to try it. My order came in on September 1st so I started using it that night before bed. The taste wasn't bad at first, my teeth felt clean, and my mouth felt refreshed. Now, through frequent use, there are times that the taste can be overbearing and can make me feel sick to my stomach. This happened three times and only at night. I started monitoring and found I would get this feeling only after a snack. Needless to say I changed that habit and I haven't had a problem since. Through my practice of oil-pulling plus this toothpaste I have found I no longer need Sensodyne. YAY! I don't feel pain when drinking/eating colds or hots and I don't feel the sensitivity of sweets. I can't say this toothpaste alone is stopping my sensitivity but I'm liking my results. Hopefully my dentist will too. When I purchased the product I ordered two tubes at once so if I can't get use to the extreme taste of the Neem I will change up the flavoring. As long as my dentist gives me positive reviews I will be sticking with this toothpaste, because I love the fact that my "natural" routine for my hair and face can now extent to my oral hygiene practice! Hooray! Read more
I started becoming really self-conscious about my breathe, and it doesn’t help when your 4-year-old snuggles up in the morning and says “Ewww. Your breath stinks.” I knew it didn’t smell good but after going through product after product I just didn’t know what to do. I don’t like using fluoride so that narrows the search field a lot. As a last resort, I. started combing the health food websites for reviews on toothpastes and found this one. I came over to Amazon and bought it. In all honesty, I am not disappointed and the last two mornings my kid has unsolicitedly said “You’re breath smells good” and gives me thumbs up. I’ll take that as the best peer review I can get. I don’t wake up with that stank breath feeling nor do I feel like I need to find some chewing gum halfway through the day and cringe during from face to face interactions. A few things I think will help others: 1. This (wintergreen) flavor is different. It tastes like I’m putting a glob of Bengay on my mouth. However, I don’t feel like that makes it any less effective nor lingers long enough to bother someone else. 2. This toothpaste really makes my teeth feel clean. 3. This toothpaste isn’t abrasive and a pea size drop is enough for the whole mouth. 4. I have combined this with oil pulling in the mornings and tongue scraping. I am using GuruNanda brand which comes with a tongue scraper. I can’t say if it is making a difference yet but I can’t discount the fact it may be aiding. Read more

The toothpaste tastes great. We tried several different organic non-fluoride toothpastes, and this is the only brand we've ever liked. No junk in it. Works great. Been using for years. Read more

Tasty and effective toothpaste without fluoride. I was happy to find such a toothpaste without the toxic ingredient in most. Even my kids like it. It's a good product and I have now purchased it more than once. Highly recommended. I occasionally supplement mine with a mix of clove oil and other ingredients from Ora Wellness Heal Thy Mouth Blend. The blend is effective, but expensive. This toothpaste helps it last a lot longer and the toothpaste is inexpensive. Read more
