goes on easily, comes off easily with shampooing. may rub a little color onto your collar where your hair touches it often, but can be washed off with a little soap and water. otherwise doesn't come off when you don't want it to. if your hair is dark, you need more chalk and probably can't give yourself bright yellow hair if your hair is very dark. it works great with rainbow streaks for pride month or streaks to match clothing or decor or your team's colors. This was a gift for my nieces, it did not have any weird smell, the consistency was creamy, they were a variety of colors, was easy to wash off and no damage to hair. My nieces loved it however some dark color were barely visible on dark hair, pigmentation could definitely be a little better on darker colors and application can be a little tricky but otherwise fun. I was excited to try this chair chalk for some fun, temporary color, but it didn’t quite meet my expectations. The texture was a bit sticky, which made styling harder than usual. Also, the colors looked great in the package but didn’t really show up well on darker hair, even after applying several layers. It might work better on lighter hair tones. Not terrible, but probably wouldn’t purchase again unless the formula improves. But fun and works for just one day purpose! Read more
This hair chalk actually comes out of my children's hair with one wash! It does not leave residue everywhere. I will say, it did stain their pillowcases when they sleep on the hair chalk at night, but I was able to get the stain out by washing it in our washer/dryer. Read more
I was initially a bit concerned about using it on my child’s platinum blonde hair - but it worked great and washed completely out without issue! He had a great time with his vibrant hair that lasted all day for crazy hair day! Read more
We bought this for my 6 year old and she loves it. It’s a bit messy when you let them do it themselves, but she has fun while doing it. I even let her do my hair. It is hard to see certain colors in dark hair but I would definitely buy this again. It washes out easily. Read more
