Exactly as pictured and described by the seller. This chair mat is the perfect size for a somewhat tight space I have my desk set up in. Put this down on my medium pile carpeted floor. Had to step around on it for a few minutes to get it to flatten out. But that's totally expected considering it comes rolled up. It does lay nice and flat and grips right into the carpet. Mat stats firmly in place with my office chair on it and moving around as I work. Chair sinks slightly into this mat. But far less than others I have owned before. Just takes a tad bit of effort to wheel around on it, which really isn't a bad thing. So all in all this is a nice looking mat, real good quality, and an excellent value. Highly recommended. This Matt has little tiny spikes on the underside designed to secure it in place when used on top of carpet. If this item is used on a hard surface floor, you will feel those bumps when you roll over it with your chair. This item is perfect for carpeted floors. Read more
The mat has been durable and I like the size and shape, but every time my dog runs her nails across it I get a strong dose of chemical smell. In a well ventilated room I don't think it should be a problem, but if you're using in a small enclosed room I'd want an air-filter running. I've been using it for several weeks and the smell is still noticeable when it's scraped against - I do not notice the smell unless it is scraped, so I expect it is particles being released more than gasses leaking off it. Strong, foul oder from the mat after unboxing. Hopefully the smell will dissipate over time. I placed on top of berber carpet and the chair doesn't roll as easy as I would like but it should do its job of protecting. Read more
I purchased the one designed to go over carpet. The chair wheels kinda sink down into the rubber, making it awkward to roll. I only weigh 150lbs, so anything heavier will be far worse. Read more
