Was a little skeptical due to the price. However, after following the first charge/use instructions and then depleting the charge with an DC powered heated seat cover for about 6 hours, and it was still charged @ about half power, and then recharging it again.. And then using it to start my older V8 van with a frozen battery 3 times @ 10 degrees without any problems (started like it had a new battery). The USB port works great. Didn't buy it for the compressor so I haven't tried it. The light on it works well enough to change a tire or air it up, or to see to hook up to the battery in the car/truck... The only 2 downsides that I can see is, that they could have found a better way to wrap up the cables for storage, and that the air line could be a tad longer. Works great. This is a replacement, the 1st 1 didn’t work. The representative was very polite & the process was easy.. this has saved me numerous times and this is why I bought the good one for the higher power one my car battery is not the greatest right now especially if 25° so being the fact I have this I have used it and it has worked within a couple of minutes it charged my battery so definitely suggest anyone to get this absolutely. it's very easy to use. It's very easy to carry around in your car and find no problem in picking it up myself the cables wrapped around it really really easy. They clip right in there and if anybody puts a negative star because the cords don't wrap around it that's their problem. They need to get a smart brain in their head. I see pictures of the cords, just crazily wrapped around it people get with it. OK get with it... This is the easiest thing in the world to carry to store to wrap everything.. Item works great with quick jumpstart for cars. Has some hard time if battery has been completely dead for a while. It is not too heavy and fits perfectly in my trunk as an emergency air compressor and jump starter. The alternator tester seems to work, and is a very nice addition considering the price. Allows people to make sure alternator is good before replacing battery. Read more
At first glance it looks like an awesome device that does everything! I was so very looking forward to loving it! However, after receiving it, despite feeling well built, hefty in weight, and having the specs to be a good device, there were two things that really stood out at me that made me question the true quality of this DeWalt tool. First, for being such a huge and massive jump starter, air compressor, and power inverter with a huge 22Ah internal battery, it came with the most ridiculously tiny charger I've ever seen. It's only 800mA!! It's teeny tiny! It would take all day to charge my cellphone with this charger, much less this massive DeWalt battery system. With a 22Ah battery, charging at 800mA (0.8A), it would take 27 hours to charge this thing!!!!!!! Unbelievable!!!!!!! Whats even more crazy is the instructions say to recharge it every 30 days, even if you aren't using it to keep the battery full. So it's not even a one-time thing and then forget about it. You are supposed to do a 1 day+ charge every 30 days. Secondly, at the back of the instruction manual, I saw that this isn't even made by DeWalt! It's made by some other company and they simply licensed the name DeWalt! That really upsets me and makes me question the quality of the name DeWalt if they are just selling the name for others to use and not even making their own products anymore. Read more
