I replaced all 4 of my really old (at least 30 years old!) timers used to control interior lights for security. They required batteries that needed occasional replacement, which was quite a pain. These timers have internal batteries that do not require replacement -- they charge via the AC outlets they are plugged into. They are super easy to control, with 3 different settings available, although I only use 1 setting on each of my timers. I am not picky about them keeping really accurate time, since I regularly change their settings during the year to match when the sun comes up and sets. However, they seem to be generally accurate. A feature that I don't use but others may like is that their small size allows them to be plugged into a standard AC wall outlet without blocking both outlets. I wish the switches on their sides for turning them off, on, and automatic were a bit bigger, but that's probably just me being picky! Others may not object to their small size. All in all, these timers do the job well and hopefully will last for many years! Read more

I needed a slim digital timer that wouldn't hog all four outlets/sockets available. This one appeared to fit the need. It was very easy to figure out how to program the timer. It is set to automatically repeat the same on/off time every day, and I have not noticed any deviation since I started using it (about a month). The side slider button provides a manual override, which I appreciate, as it allows me flexibility when schedules go awry! The only improvement I would suggest would be to have a small led light on the top when the unit is on. Sometimes, when on one of "those" days (when the schedule necessitates a manual "on" override), I forget the timer is on, and the timer is left on the entire day. If a small light were on when the timer is "live," it would help to remind me to manually return it to the Auto setting. But even at that, this item is truly wonderful. Mine keeps time, has kept its schedule faithfully turning on AND off, and DOES NOT cover up the other sockets so they can be used as needed. Great price, too. Make sure to let me know if they ever come out with one that has an led indicator light on top. I'll buy two!!! Read more

This little timer is easy to program and once programmed, performs as advertised. That said I have two issues. 1) the female receptacle needs to be turned 90° to allow multiple receptacle adapters to fit between the unit and the wall, and 2) the Off-Auto-On switch is tiny and makes overriding a bit tricky. After dealing year after year with various other brands not doing the job, especially when we change to or from daylight saving time, I have now thrown out all the failing timers and purchased these. This brand is proof, what apparently no other brand is capable of accomplishing: Timers can be easy to be set. We have timers in every room of the house for mostly low light table lamps, mainly to have some low light when we get up early in the morning, and in a second programming for later afternoon and evenings. Everyone kept forgetting to turn lights off when leaving a room, and sometimes you just need a low light as a guide to another room while it is dark. This brand was my last hope to find timers that would work as intended. I ordered them a 3 pm, Amazon delivered at 6 pm the same day (amazing!). I took them out of the box, set the time, one program for the morning, one for the evening without ever looking at the instructions, plugged them in, and voila, every single one works just perfect. The timers come with the option to program 3 times, I use only 2. I have 2 4-packs so far, but I will order one more for my office. Read more

Long story short, my Internet has been acting up every 2–3 days at exactly 2:16 AM ever since I signed up for Frontier a few years ago. My latency shoots above 200 ms and packet loss hits around 5%, which makes many online activities nearly impossible. I’m tech savvy enough to know the issue is with my ONT (the device between the ISP and router), and the only quick fix has been to power cycle it. After repeatedly asking Frontier to send a technician, they only agreed once I threatened to cancel service. Even then, they wanted to charge me a $150 service fee plus hardware replacement costs for something that’s been faulty since day one. That’s when I found this nifty little device, and I’m honestly mad I didn’t buy it sooner. I simply programmed it to turn off at 2:20 AM and back on at 2:21 AM, and it completely fixed the problem. I’ve also read that many people use it to power cycle routers that overheat and slow down over time. It’s easy to program (up to three timers), slim enough to leave the other outlet free, and one of its best features is the 3-month battery backup for programmed settings in case the power goes out, which is bound to happen at least a couple times a year. For an in expensive alarm clock it works well. I wanted a simple alarm clock, and this is that - simple buttons for a device that does only two things - tells the time and provides an alarm. The cons are that the display is hard to dial in for day long use - too bright at night and too faint at day. A little annoying to have to adjust it all the time, but the adjustment wheel on the side makes that very easy. The alarm sound options are . . . interesting. Many are awful (people really want to wake up to a blaring siren??). Last, because the time and alarm set buttons are on the back of the device, it's a little awkward setting them because you have to keep flipping it back and forth. Not a big deal but with mentioning. I gave it a four because it works and it is simple and it is inexpensive. But next time I'll spend a little more and get one with a self-adjusting display. Read more
