The darker colors may seem tight at first but that is because of the color. Darker colors are stiff from the dye process. I have found after several washes, they loosen up quite a bit. I have only put them in the dryer on low or air dried. The value is incredible and fit is extremely comfortable. The quality is great, soft, comfortable, functional, and durable.,These are skinny straight pants but not too skinny with plenty of flex and room. Last purchase was the olive green and they fit perfectly even after washing. If you are looking for pants without a high waist, I highly recommend these. I skate, bike , and wear them out casually. DO NOT PUT THESE IN THE DRYER! Honestly if you want them to last longer you should just hang them up to dry anyways but, if you must put them in the dryer do it on a low heat tumble.of 20 minute cycles. Definitely size up not sure they usually run true to size but I'm a 30 x 30 for a long time.. and these just don't fit .. not a fit acceptable and comfortable to work in atleast. Honestly you get free returns and or exchanges on Amazon so I'd say size up 1 for the waist and if it's not right you can return it ...
