I am very pleased that I found this Dickies thermal-lined jacket! I have used a similar Carhartt one for the past 25 years (which is amazing, don't get me wrong!) but after 5 new zippers, 3 sets of new cuffs, and who-knows how many seams re-stitched, I was desperate to replace my favorite jacket. I cannot stand the satin/polyester/"rain-resistant" shelled jackets, or their faux sherpa and fleece linings that most other brands have switched to long ago. I think I willed my old jacket this past 10 years to "make it just one more year." Dickies has done a great job with this jacket and does everything my old jacket did. It keeps me warm, but never too warm. I can wear it both indoors and outdoors without ever having to unzip the zipper. The hood is more than generous so you could easily fit a sock hat or hardhat underneath it without causing fit issues anywhere else on the jacket. I am planning on buying at least one more of these now that I have found them! I highly recommend these jackets! Read more

Love this thermal fleece lined hoodie. Quality outer layer. Quality thermal inner layer. Quality zipper. Generous size hood with long draw strings. Great value. Should last a long, long time. I have not washed it yet. I am 6 ft 3 in tall and weigh 225 lbs. I purchased a size 2XL Tall just to be sure it will still fit after I wash it and run it through the dryer. Honestly, this hoodie is so warm and comfortable you will not want to take it off during winter months. I live in Central California and it is perfect for our climate here. My only caveat : I would buy this one size larger than your normal size so you have room for shrinkage in the dryer. Read more

I am a recent zip hoodie convert, but I especially love the thermal lined ones, for added warmth. I only recently discovered their utility recently, when I bought a "generic" thermal lined one in NYC while on vacation. I've always been a pullover fleece sweatshirt guy, but since buying my first zip thermal hoodie, I won't buy anything else from now on. I especially love the metal zippers on this Dickie's brand, and the general, overall build quality. I am 6' tall, 208 lbs with a muscular build, broad shoulders, 42-44 chest, 34" waist, long arms (35-36")...the 2XL fits me perfectly! I will make sure not to put it in the dryer, though. I bought 2 so far and plan to grab up a few more. These are awesome hoodies! Read more

My hubby has 4 of these! Great quality, wash up without pilling, and keep their shape. Have had a couple for years and they still look new. Highly recommend. Read more

Was looking for a heavy, full zip hoodie at a decent price - picked this one. Weight is not super heavy but it is warm enough with the comfortable thermal lining. My old 2XL hoodies were getting a bit snug, so I wanted something to end up a little larger. I ordered this in 4XL thinking it would shrink a full size to 3XL as suggested by several other reviews. After hot wash and dry the item has shrunk some but not a full size. It will probably still shrink more with additional washing, but with warm (or cold) washing and recommended drying you should not lose more than half a size. (BTW - there was almost no lint in the dryer filter.) Oversized as it is, it still fits reasonably well over the sweaters or heavy shirts I wear in the winter. Cuffs and waist are snug enough to keep in position. Read more

My husband saw this jacket at Wal-Mart last year but missed the chance to buy it but glad we found it on Amazon. He is a tall but average built guy (6'2), but we weren't sure how the tall/big size would fit and was worried might be too baggy so we got the large. He wears a large in everything else without too much of the bagginess issue.. my first impression was that this jacket was a bit short and baggy, but he likes it and I like how it is thermal lined, unlike most fleece jackets that wear out the fluffiness inside over time. This jacket will definitely keep him warm without too much bulk or weight. I was concerned about how some reviewers said that this jacket shrinks. Well it is in the nature of this type of fabric to shrink if you use warm or hot water to wash it and also throw it in a hot dry cycle for a prolonged period. The instruction label says machine wash cold and tumble dry low. I do have a low dry setting but went with my instinct to just air dry. Best way to wash this jacket is to zip it up, flip it inside out to preserve the smoothness of the outside fabric, wash it with other dark colors (without optical brighteners; may fade the black to a weird blueish green color) in COLD water, on GENTLE or PERMANENT PRESS cycle. Then once done washing, take it out and smooth it out over the back of a couch or the top of your bed and let it dry. Flip it over after a couple hours and flip it inside out again so the other side will have time to dry. It's not that hard guys and it will keep your jacket looking new and unstretched/shrunk. I don't recommend hanging on the hanger to dry unless you want a stretched out shoulder look. And if you can't wait a few hours to a whole day for this to dry, then try putting it in low dry cycle but take it out half way or when almost dry (where cuffs and hood will probably feel a bit damp) and then let air dry. Got this as a secondary jacket, since it is getting on spring and the days aren't cold enough for a heavy jacket. This thing is warm enough for 30-40 deg weather (in the short time I go from truck to home), but light enough I expect to wear it all spring and most of summer (I work in a temp controlled room so I need lightweight jacket even in summer). I was a little concerned about the sizing, my heavy jacket I recently bought (also Dickies 5xl) seemed just a tad on the small side, but this thing fits really well, and possibly a tad on the large side, but I like it being a bit loose. Definitely feel like I got my money's worth on both jackets. Read more
