Diesel Griffed Gen 6 Smartwatch with Alexa Built-In Heart Rate Blood Oxygen GPS Activity Tracking Speaker Smartphone Notifications

This is one of the best designed smartwatches of the current generation. Looks super cool when wearing it. The one major flaw is the Diesel software. It doesn't sync with Google fit and drains battery like there is no tomorrow barely got 8hrs. So why am I giving it a 5 star. It's because both of these flaws can be easily overcomed. Basically you have to use Google Fit and a third party watch face. That's it. Ditch any Diesel software. Steps to do this: 1) when setting up the watch when asked what you want to track remember to turn off everything. 2) after all the updates have posted go to the wellness app and decline any permissions and make sure all tracking activity is turned off. 3) now install google fit and give it all the tracking permissions. 4) open Google fit heart rate and enable continuous heart rate. 5) finally switch from the default Diesel watch faces. I installed Pujie Black and it has some amazing options. And that's it. With always on display being on and with continuous heart rate I am getting a solid 24hrs from this watch. I customized notifications so it does not beep for everything like email etc. It's just unfortunate that fossil has not optimized their own apps. With Fitbit taking over might make more sense to install Fitbit instead of Google fit maybe. But for now Google fit works great. Read more

Oh joy, got this gem in December of last year and boy was it a treat to set up. Multiple tries just to get the dang thing working. WIFI dropping like it's hot and connectivity issues for days. Oh, and let's not forget the never-ending updates. Start over every single time, because who needs an easy setup process! After a solid week of tinkering with this masterpiece, it finally decided to behave... sort of. Battery life was decent as long as you shut off every single biometric feature. The heart monitor was a real winner though, draining that battery faster than you can say "Ummm Diesel." And just when you start to think maybe, just maybe, you lucked out with this watch, BAM. Black screen out of nowhere. Sent it off to Fossil for repair because hey, it's under warranty, right? Wrong. They couldn't even be bothered to fix it. Unrepairable, they say. But fear not, instead of a refund, you get a lovely gift card to a specific store. Because clearly, this watch is so fantastic that they don't even want to give you a replacement. So, in conclusion, do yourself a favor and steer clear of this disaster waiting to happen. You'll thank me later. Too bad too.... I had really high hopes, so one star cause you know it looked nice. I'm an iOS users. The battery life is about 28 hours, the notifications works very well, I installed Google Fit apps and Spotify; when I go for workout the watch spend life 25% for two hour sessions. This watch usted the latest version of WearOs: 3.5. The DieselOn App has conflict with Google, That's reason to use Google Fit apps to sync. I loved it. Read more

For those that follow my reviews, I am a mechanic and love the smart watch adventure has been a tough one but Fossil has been my go to company when it comes to smart watches I've hit them on anything imaginable, car parts dropped it in oil and easly wiped off and still works to this day and that was 7 years ago. As for this watch I've had it for about 3 months to give you guys a fair review and it had not disappointed this watch is a Fossil and Diesel collaboration and has been put to the test and the added protection of the little accents help tremendously is the toughness of this watch and the price is unbelievable fir such a watch but these two companies have come together to make a masterpiece it's got great features and work soo well with Google. Also the customization of this watch just from the app is awesome not just generated faces but can customization each aspect of this watch with the app kind of acts as a fidget you can do soo much with it. Calling is excellent and even talk to text can pick up my fast talking really well. Honestly I have nothing but good to say about this watch you will not be disappointed and that's alot coming from me who use and abuse watches not many watches have withstood the tests I put these watches through besides this and Fossil gen 2. I was very skeptical getting this watch because I had the previous version and the battery was not good at all. The battery on this model however is able to last you entire day and it charges super quickly as well. However, if you are looking for a watch that is going to last you all day and then you go to sleep with it to track your sleep, this isn't watch for you. To be fair this is the first smart watch that I have owned. I gotta say I don’t like it battery. Life is horrible barely lasts a day. The watch frequently disconnects from my phone software constantly locks up and needs to be rebooted or reinstalled terrible by. I’d return it but I’d rather just throw it away. Read more
