A Good Fresh Spicy/Woody/Blue Cologne
Okay, so this is just a superior version of Versace Eros. Eros has been remixed tremendously, but this is probably my favorite remix. This projects like crazy, lasts a MINIMUM of 9 hours, is non-cloying, non-powdery. Thankfully, sillage isn't extreme (I consider high sillage to be bad). Smell wise this is much more powdery, citrusy and ginger heavy than Eros. It's as heavy on pepper and ginger as Red Rush by Polo is (though the rest of the notes are too different since Sound of the Brave is sweeter than Red Rush). The sweetness comes from heavy use of amber, but remember that it's not cloying nor powdery like older amber heavy scents like to be. There is a certain "blueness" and that's the Juniper. It's hard to tack down, but once you isolate the note you can't stop noticing it: it's blended in very well. My recommendation is that this cologne is just a far more refined and advanced version of Eros. Bottle size is good and will last you a while since you need a max of 3 sprays (you can usually get away with 1). So definitely worth the money if you're in the market for a slightly fruit, spicy, gingery, sweet blue scent. Read more
