Readings change instantly when I move the laser from one surface to another, and it matched closely with my other thermometer. It handled the hot AC hose (around 90°F) just as well as cooler surfaces without lag. The LCD screen is bright and easy to read, even in low light thanks to the backlight. I like that it automatically holds the last reading when I release the trigger and shuts off on its own after a few seconds to save battery. It comes with AAA batteries in the box, so it’s ready to use right away. For the price, the value for money is excellent. It covers a huge range (-58℉ to 932℉), which means I can use it for way more than just my AC — like checking my grill, oven, or even insulation spots around the house. Cheap, accurate, and way easier than guessing those little analog dials. Just point it pull the trigger and boom, instant temperature reading for the exact spot you’re looking for. I'll first give my dig at this and that's the accuracy. It states that it is accurate to within +/-1.5C that equates to +/-2.7F. I found it to be fairly accurate. For me this isn't an issue as I only wanted a good reference and it doesn't need to be that accurate. So for this price point I'm not going to ding it for this. It's a good buy. All the other features are good, and it works as it should with a quick response on Temp readings. I will have numerous uses for this, and am happy I didn't have to spend a lot to get something that works good enough for what I need. Edit: I originally posted that the accuracy was fair but after more testing I was the one at fault. This thing actually has decent accuracy much to my surprise.
