Let me start this review by saying that perimenopause sucks. The body changes affect the body and the mind. I started when I was in my late 30s and am now 44. Went to doctors with no intervention for the exception of anti anxiety meds and a cardiac workup. "Your labs look fine" kinda answers. Panic attacks with skipped heartbeats, horrific allergic reactions, so much so that my eyes would swell shut from histamine overdrive. Painful knees and back. Ridiculous weight gain in a short period of time. I was willing to try anything. Failure of General practitioners had led me to do my own research and symptom management, most of which are hormonal imbalances (estrogen and testosterone). I, for one, was iffy about HRT (hormone replacement therapy) at first, but I was open to supplements that mimic such hormones. I was recommended this supplement from a fellow nurse coworker after we had a long discussion about the pitfalls of perimenopause, well, mostly complaints from me. Mainly hot flashes, joint pain, anxiety, and drenching night sweats. Anyway, at that time, any relief was welcomed. Here were my experiences: First week: I took it consistently right before work. So far, no side effects. No noticeable relief. Still waiting. Second week: I began to feel less anxious. The intensity of my hot flashes had decreased from a 10 to an 7, however, the length of time for each flash decreased to about half the amount of time. Third week: I gave my coworker an update on how the supplement was working. I had to do an true assessment. My hot flashes had decreased in intensity of 10/10 to 5/10, frequency of 5x a day to 2 x a day, and the length of time decreased to about 10 minutes instead of the usual 30 min to an hour. Have you ever felt so normal again that you don't even notice how bad it was? That was what I was feeling! Relief from the torrid of sweat and burning red face and ears. Because of that, I have been getting better sleep (from patchy 3 hours to 5 hours straight through). Now don't get me wrong, I still had other symptoms at play. I still woke up sweaty, but not drenched, and my labile moods were still there, but not enough to warrant punching someone in the face. Month 2: Now, most of the sucky symptoms like hot flashes are just slight annoyances now. My sleep has gotten better because the drenching sweats has decreased to the level where I could just turn down the AC and sleep on cool, bamboo sheets (they do wonders BTW). I don't wake up in the middle of the night as much anymore, maybe once a week though. Intrusive thoughts have lessened. I have now used DIM for almost 3 months now. I am super happy that I was introduced to this. Now, mind you, this worked out for me, thank the gods. I still get anxiety that a cold compress on my neck or a cold bath can't help (it shocks your system back to rest and digest). I would suggest that you use this product, but also do your own research on how to manage your other symptoms. I also suggest HRT from reputable medical professionals that check specific hormone levels pertaining to perimenopause. I believe this supplement has helped with my symptom management, and it has improved my quality of life. Also, for the price of this type of comfort and peace of mind, it is a great deal! I hope you find my experience helpful. Read more

I never take the time to write reviews, but these supplements are hands down AMAZING!!! At 42-years old, I have entered the wonderful stage of life known as "perimenopause". Ladies, you know how it goes..... night sweats, hot flashes, headaches, hormonal acne, moodiness, and feeling like you want to strangle your hubby for no apparent reason. Anyways, the acne on my lower face was unreal; even worse than when I was a teenager! I was consistently getting cystic acne (underneath my skin) which was not only painful, but embarrassing. About 3 weeks after I started taking these supplements, my acne completely disappeared, my night sweats stopped, I seem to have less hot flashes, and overall, I have much more energy during the day. Best of all, my husband is still alive! It's been about 3 months since I've been taking these supplements and I can honestly say that I feel great.... and praise the lord, my hormonal acne is completely gone! I never experienced any nausea, headaches, or an upset stomach while taking this as other's have stated. I also had my blood drawn 2 weeks ago and everything was in range (I'm taking 2 of these pills per day). I highly recommend trying this if you're perimenopausal and experiencing similar issues.
