I ordered these bulbs to replace some 3000k (color temperature) bulbs that had more of a soft (dim) yellow color, that were described as bright. They were the only lighting source in the room and they definitely did not light up the room. I wish I had done more research about color temperature of bulbs prior to my original purchase. Just because it says bright, doesn't make it true. These 4000k bulbs work perfectly to give a crisp (brighter) white color where used.
