I've been very concerned about using dishwashing detergents that have harmful ingredients. I was looking for a "clean" one for a long time and tried various brands. 1. Dirty Labs cleans well - which was an important criteria for me. 2. It leaves no residue - I was frustrated when the other brands I tried left residue on plates, glasses and cutlery. This one doesn't. 3. It has no fragrance, which is what I wanted. Yet the dishes comes out without odor issues. 4. It doesn't come in plastic pods - another important criteria since I want less plastic in the environment, and also don't want microplastics as a result of dishwashing. I don't have to worry about microplastics with this detergent. 5. It comes with an easy to measure attractive wooden spoon and paper container that holds perfectly well. Read more

Wow! Something natural, that cleans great, that smells nice and is safe for stainless steel dishwashers! I can finally go back to a scented detergent! I used GG (Grab Green) for years. In a high temp wash...it worked fine for some time. Lately, it's been leaving spots. Maybe it's my water??? We are careful never to load dishes with food on it, so we only used half a scoop as directed. The primary issue I have with GG is that the only one that doesn't dull the stainless tub was their unscented one. And, I for one, missed the fresh scent that made me feel my dishes are truly clean at the end of the cycle. I've been reading reviews on and off for months looking for a new natural detergent. I came across this one during Prime days recently. Taking a chance on the reviews here, I ordered it. I've now been using it for a couple of weeks and I'm happy that I took that chance! This one smells SOOO darned fresh and leaves my dishes clean...with no spots and leaves my stainless tub shiny. The ONLY downside for me is that it's a little costly. I hope they consider lowering the price some. You can wash up to 80 loads with Grab Green for the same price...this one only does 48 loads. Hopefully, I won't have to start looking for another one again. Well, here we are almost 2 years later and I'm STILL a fan! Due to the price, I kept looking and trying other natural dishwasher detergents since my first review of DL. They couldn't be compared. Some even contained Ethoxylate...so that's a hard pass. That stuff is bad for the lining of your gut! In the end, just I kept coming back to Dirty Labs! I learned that I don't have to use vinegar in my rinse aid compartment with Dirty Labs...that's how well it does in my dishwasher. Glassware is always sparkling clean! I just do it, (when I remember), for plastic containers to help with spots from hard water. To reduce the cost by a couple of dollars, I subscribed and get one on my doorstep every 2 months. Dirty Labs has surpassed my expectations in every way. Therefore, I've concluded that it's worth the money for my piece of mind. Read more

I really like this dishwasher detergent. I like the enzyme cleaning and there is no more smell in my dishwasher. It reminds me of the more expensive Norwex brand. Everything gets clean. Silverware is shiny. Glasses and plates are spot free. I only use a scoop of it. Highly recommend Read more

The media could not be loaded. Dirty Labs dishwasher detergent uses enzymes to clean dishes instead of chemical solvents. I've used it for a few months and so far it has been able to clean my dishes as effectively as my previous detergent pods. Glasses come out clear and without residue. The packaging is made of recyclable cardboard and includes a small metal tray (appears to be aluminum) and wooden spoon for measuring the powder. The box is labeled as 100% recyclable, though the specific material composition of the tray isn't explicitly stated. The detergent has a faint citrus scent that isn't overpowering. The measuring process adds a few seconds compared to tossing in a pod, but the cleaning performance and better eco footprint make it a worthwhile trade-off in my opinion. Read more

The media could not be loaded. I’ve been using Dirty Labs Dishwasher Detergent + Booster for several weeks now and I’m really impressed. It cleans extremely well — dishes come out spotless with no residue or film, even on baked-on food. I love that it’s fragrance-free and still leaves everything smelling clean, not chemical-heavy. A little goes a long way, and it dissolves perfectly every time. I’ll definitely be repurchasing. Thank you for being made in the US!! Read more

I’ll be honest—I wasn’t expecting to have strong feelings about a dishwasher detergent. But Dirty Labs Dishwasher Detergent and Booster surprised me in the best way. It actually works. Like, really works. Greasy plates, baked-on food, cloudy glasses—everything comes out clean without needing to pre-rinse. Even my glassware looks noticeably clearer, and there’s no weird film or residue left behind. What I appreciate most is that it manages to be effective without being harsh. A lot of “clean” or eco-friendly detergents either don’t clean well or leave dishes looking dull. This one somehow avoids both problems. The ingredients feel thoughtful, and it’s nice knowing I’m not washing my dishes with a bunch of aggressive chemicals. The scent is light and fresh, not overpowering, and it doesn’t linger on the dishes—which I love. The powder dissolves easily, and the booster is great for those extra messy loads when the dishwasher needs a little help. Even the packaging feels intentional and simple, which is a small thing but still nice. It doesn’t look out of place sitting on the counter. Overall, this is one of those products you don’t realize you’ve been missing until you use it. Dirty Labs Dishwasher Detergent and Booster does exactly what it promises, and it does it well. I’ll definitely be sticking with it. Read more
