Practical size which fits the older style stainless steel two-basin sinks. The metal is thick with protective coating on the bottom and curved pieces to prevent scratching dishes. No metal burrs, no plastic odor, product arrived quickly and packaged well. I do have an issue with the utensil holder. The inside has very shallow separations which are inadequate for keeping the flatware upright. I put a spoon into the holder and it falls over and then I have to fish it out or even get tongs to get it as the holder is narrow for my hands. Is this petty? No, because I usually only have one or two utensils to wash a day due to my work schedule. It is one of those daily irritants that you know shouldn't exist if products were designed correctly or companies didn't cut corners to save pennies, but it does and now I wait to wash certain items until I have several. I haven't had any issues with rust but I coated all the nooks and crannies where water might sit with regular old food grade grease and wiped away excess (I imagine Vaseline could be used also). 2) first time in years I found one that would fit INSIDE my sink (so excited). The size is perfect and dishes sit well in the strainer. It's sturdy and does have rubber feet in case you need to place on counter. My only mentions is like other reviewers have stated it would be nice to have a split holder for silverware as it tends to fall to the bottom unless you place in several at a time.
