I actually ordered these to have at my home birth so I did not get my nice towels all gross! I ended up not needing them as everything went smoothly and there was little mess. I am planning on using these when I go camping next. They do take some foresight and are best to open up ahead of time with some water and then let them dry before they are needed, but this is easy to do when camping. I imagine you can also slowly unravel them right after a shower using the water on your body to open them up bit by bit (not ideal, but works in a pinch). Overall they accomplish the goal they set out to do: have a convenient travel sized towel for a couple of uses to cut down on packing space. Read more
Sounds better in theory. If you are relying on it to dry you off in case of a spill while traveling or out and about, you have to remember that it needs a significant amount of water to open up, and it's hard to dry off with a wet towel. It would be good if you are lacking space on a trip and need towels but not right away. Read more
As a frequent traveler, I'm always on the lookout for products that make my trips more convenient and comfortable. One product that I've recently discovered and absolutely love are these disposable compressed bath towels. I purchased the 5-pack of 55.1" x 27.5" reusable washcloths, and they have become a staple in my travel bag. The towels come in a compact package, making them easy to pack and take up minimal space. Once you unpack them, they expand to a full-size bath towel. The non-woven material is soft and gentle on the skin, and the super absorbent feature ensures that you're dry in no time. One of the things I appreciate most about these towels is that they are reusable. After using them, I simply wash and hang them to dry, and they're ready for the next use. This feature makes them not only convenient but also environmentally friendly. I've used these towels for travel, camping, and spa days, and they have exceeded my expectations every time. They are perfect for a quick dry off after a shower, a refreshing wipe down after a long flight, or a quick clean up after a day of outdoor activities. Another great feature is that they are disposable, so if you're camping in a remote area without access to laundry facilities, you can simply dispose of the towel and have a fresh one ready for the next use. I got these compressed towels because I travel a great deal, and because Douglass Adams' novels always assert that one 'should carry a towel.' I decided to try one of them out before I relied on them while away from home. First off, you need to wet them to unfold them. I ran water over the top, bottom, and sides for at least a minute. The towel began to puff up, and lift away from where it had been folded and compressed. I gently teased the towel open. Of course, by this time, it was completely wet. It opened up to the length of a normal bath towel and about 3/4ths of the width of a normal bath towel. I hung it on the towel rack in the bathroom to use. The towel material struck me as a very durable and reusable paper towel. It was soft enough and pliable without ripping or dissolving. When it dried enough, I showered and took the towel for a test run. It will get the job done in an emergency. It will get the job done IF YOU'RE CAMPING or in a situation where you don't have access to a regular towel. It's not something I would rely on if I were staying in hotels or in people's homes. I also think it would be something useful for the parents of small children. A mom could keep one in her purse. I'm not sure where a Dad would store it, but it's small enough to fit in a backpack or a handbag or a messenger bag or a brief case (does anyone still use brief cases?) I'm not sure how it would hold up in the laundry. Read more
The towel itself is extremely small, and barely fits my torso. The roll is so tightly wound up that it took me 20 minutes to get the towel to open. Absolutely never ever purchasing again. The listing shows FOUR, and you get THREE. Read more
My family is planning a trip where we will be packing very lightly, and may need to provide our own towels. I was very happy to find these. We haven't used them yet, but the little towel cakes are quite small and very light. I believe they need to be gotten wet to open up, so that is a good thing to keep in mind - open the towel and let it dry, before taking a shower. They are so tiny compressed, no one should expect them to be soft and luxurious - but this seems perfect for camping or in an emergency. I find the price very reasonable for the quantity. Read more
I have packed these towels into our emergency bags. I don't know the weight or thickness these towels will have once opened. We are coming up on hurricane season and for ease of packing, I ordered these towels. If they work as described, they will be miracles. I have been hunkered down in storm shelters without having personal hygiene items. This time, we will be prepared. The only reason for the 4-star review is that I don't know what they will open up into; but something is better than nothing. That being said, they are compact, and individually sealed. I can put one in each of our bags, and have plenty of room left for other items. They don't take up much room at all. They are probably the size of a hockey puck. That leaves room that a towel would take up, even if rolled into a compact tube. I need to get more. Read more
