As a horse trainer, I always keep a couple of these stored everywhere. Tack room, tack trunk, trailer, truck, purse, etc. They are very easy to use and have yet had one nick a horse anywhere. Great for the last-minute places that need a touch up at the show when you don't have the time, or don't want to, take out the electric clippers. They don't give a skin smooth shave, but they do shave a bit short than most horses are clipped so practice on a non-visible area first and use a steady hand. These shavers are so easy to use but do not underestimate that little blade! Go slow and be sure to blow or flick off any hair that gets on the protective combs. I went very heavy while using it for the first time and shaved off a little too much of my horses longer butt hair! Works great for thinning the legs and face in the spring!
