Like most of the reviews this little retro style speaker, radio, timer, digital art displayer, game player, digital picture frame is AWESOME!!!! I did watch a couple of YouTube videos to get the most out of this device and the app. It comes in a super cute bag and storage. Speaker is small but mighty and is of great quality. I love that I can download my personal pics (up to 20) and have it displayed in a slide show that you can personalize. There is actually a lot you can personalize on this device. The FM radio is clear. On the app is a forum in which you can also download designs and functions made by others who own one and / or you can also create your own and share with others. I spent 2 hours last night playing with and exploring all of the personalization you can do. And to think I was just looking for an alarm clock, which it does and you can also change the clock faces. The media could not be loaded. This is a great little speaker and the sound quality is better than I anticipated for the size and good for the price. The display is exactly as advertised and the library of images feels unlimited. Pros: - Perfect for any home/office desk space and for traveling, comes with travel case. - Has great features like alarms, white noise, a pomodoro, FM radio and even a planner. - The visualizations are very nostalgic and fun and there are tons of options. - No noticeable audio lag when watching videos. Cons: - Device controls/knobs are a bit confusing and different menus use different actions with the knobs. Volume control is a bit sensitive. - The app could really use a developer to clean it up and make it easier to navigate, or a catalog of tutorial videos would be useful for both app and device. - The sound quality sounds better at lower volumes. The media could not be loaded. Super compact and tiny with a cute little case. Compared to the other TV/computer style Divooms this one is cheaper and just as good, maybe better! It has so many features and tons of ways to entertain yourself! Audio quality very good and it gets pretty loud. Nice little speaker. Decent battery life, lots of functions. I mostly use mine as a radio. It can be kept plugged in with a USB-C cable: the battery is said to last 8 hours but I haven't tried running it down. The divoom phone app is necessary for setup but after that can mostly be ignored. Works well as a radio or for streaming audio. A little bass heavy but not bad. The screen brightness can be adjusted in the app. It is very cute, resembling an old TV. The buttons could be better, though, the volume knob is incredibly sensitive and the joystick knob will come off if pulled, but it can be slid back on. Read more
Let it be known I had to return this product twice and ended up not ordering again.. The product itself is great. Its a lot of fun to use and have set up and has a bunch of useful little features such as a Pomodoro timer, white noise machine, and more. The animations you can set up are pretty much endless as you can choose from the app with many community made animations. You can also dim the screen and change the brightness to be whatever you like. The speaker is pretty loud considering the size and projects sound well. Everything is controlled with a dial and buttons. It is simple once you read the instructions. Moving on to why I had to return it. I'll admit, this is pretty much my fault but I am pretty clumsy. I had dropped the device (not from very high up, maybe 2-3ft) and this caused the black band around the screen to dislodge and stay stuck. No matter what I tried I could not fix it, and opening the device was too difficult for me to do without damaging the unit. Foolishly, this happened twice for me and I did not order again as I know what would've happened. The image shows how the band got stuck. I loved this little speaker but I guess I just can't have it without breaking it. I definitely recommend it and is a fun little speaker that doesn't break the bank. I love it!!! But the time for some reason won’t set right. If anyone else have experienced this, let me know if you were able to resolve it. I will suggest more diversity tho. The sound, quality & animation are amazing! This is my go to while studying, cooking & sleeping. I may gift my family with one. I love the retro good ole day look of how televisions use to look. I love all the features that it has🤗. I will make the 4 star a 5 star if there is a solution with the time/date. UPDATE!!!!!!!! I wanted to go on loving this, but it’s not holding a charge long enough, it’s not allowing me to connect to download the animations that’s shared. Almost all of them are blocked. The time & date still won’t register @ all, there are pop ups that won’t go away unless you pay for the service with Divoom. The only thing they seems to work is the radio. As far as being able to set my screen to what I want it on doesn’t have but 6 scenes that was already programmed on it. I have tried to email the seller but didn’t get a response back so I’m reaching out here in the comments section requesting a full refund. Sorry this didn’t work out for me☹️ Read more
