As someone who’s constantly bouncing between papercrafts, scrapbooking, stenciling, and precision cutting for mixed media projects, I’ve cycled through a few cutting kits—some overpriced, others underwhelming. This cutting kit for crafts, though? A total gem. It’s compact, well thought-out, and honestly stands up to big-name brands without the hefty price tag. Here’s what you get in the kit: • 1 precision hobby knife with a safety cap • 20 #11 blades (yes, twenty—no running out anytime soon) • 1 pink A5 PVC self-healing cutting mat • 1 steel ruler (6-inch/15 cm) Let’s start with the A5 cutting mat—it’s double-sided, self-healing, and comes with both inch and metric markings plus angled guides, which is super helpful for detailed stencil or origami work. Despite being compact, it’s durable and forgiving. I’ve already sliced across it dozens of times, and it still looks clean and smooth. The hobby knife itself is lightweight with a textured, non-slip handle. That makes it easy to control even on intricate cuts, and it actually reduces hand fatigue more than you’d expect from such a small tool. The #11 blades are sharp and reliable—perfect for fine, detailed cuts through cardstock, vinyl, and even thin foam. I haven’t had one snap on me yet, and they swap out quickly when needed. The steel ruler is a nice bonus—solid, straight, and the perfect length for most small to medium projects. Portability is another win. The whole kit fits easily into a small pouch or drawer. Whether you’re a student, hobbyist, or traveling crafter, this kit won’t weigh you down. In short, this kit is a versatile, cost-effective alternative to higher-end brands without sacrificing quality. It’s everything you need to jump straight into crafting, with thoughtful design and durable materials that make it feel more expensive than it is. Whether you’re just getting started or you’re a seasoned maker, this is one cutting kit that punches way above its weight. Read more

Contents: The product came with the knife (with a blade in it), 2 packs of blades containing 11 blades each, a cutting mat, and a ruler that measures in inches on one side and cm & mm on the other. Knife: The knife itself is nice. With a textured knurled handle and blade tensioner, it makes the knife easy to hold and handle. The plastic cap for the knife fits snugly but doesnt come with a hanging hole in the cap. The extra blade containers do, why not the blade itself? I just drilled a hole in the cap and made my own, which works for me. My main gripe is that you really have to thread down the blade tensioner on the front. It likes to loosen and move around on you more than I'd like it to after a bit of use and pressure. Every so often you'll have to retighten it. Blades: The blades come plentiful (23 total), and are razor sharp. They easily cut through thin plastic, paper, and can shave the hair off my skin, leaving me with a bald spot on my forearm lol. They are neatly packed in plastic containers that snap and swivel open. They also have a nice hole at the top for hanging, which makes it nice for organization. Cutting mat: The mat is smaller but as advertised, coming in at around 8 in. Nice to have when you dont want to cut up your work surface. The measurement and angle markings are a nice touch, they seem to be accurate and precise. Ruler: The ruler comes in a thin plastic sheath. The ruler itself is thin and wants to conform to whatever is beneath it. The measurement markings on this are accurate as well. A good addition for measuring or making straight marks quickly. Conclusion: The set is nice overall and at a good price. The only thing I'd like to see in this product is the knife having more blade retention on the blades themselves. You will have to realign and retighten after some use. Read more

First kit i've purchase since the classic X-acto set in the wooden box and I'm pleasantly surprised. Blades are sharp and changes are simple. It's easy to handle and has a precision feel. Also like size of the case and foam in it. The knife and blades don't rattle around the box. Plus, the case closes with a magnet instead of an easily-breakable plastic snap. Very portable, too. Sure there aren't as many blade sizes and choices as the original but I hardly ever used the other ones anyway. Very nice knife kit at and very good price. Read more
This is a nice sturdy handle, has some weight to it. Like the case to keep everything in and not as easy to loose in a drawer. Read more
Works great. Best roller I have used. Think I will get the square one next. Good quality, seems to be constructed very well. All metal parts. Perfect joint every time. No effort to turn the dial. Read more
The blade is really sharp but as others have said it comes loose very easily. The original blade that is on there is really tight but if you remove it to replace the blade it will be permanently loose. I probably wouldn’t buy this again. Read more
