It's soft and breezy, so great for Florida Summers. I like the handkerchief hem, too, a nice flowing movement to the skirt. The high waist with soft ruching is VERY flattering and feminine. Comfortable and pretty skirt, BUT I ordered the coffee color which looks like a soft beige or taupe, but it's quite pink, more mauve than taupe. So NOT for me! I was looking for a nice, comfortable black skirt to wear for an upcoming conference where the rooms would be cold and I would be sitting a lot. I ordered this skirt in black and was blown away by how flattering it is!!! It's everything I want in a skirt!!! I'm only 5'4, and the length is perfect; I don't look overwhelmed by fabric. The fabric is terrific quality and very soft and comfy. It has great movement. I've paired it with tanks, T's, and a sparkly sequin top, and they all look great with this skirt, so it can be dressed up or down. I can wear it to work in my office, to the theatre at night, to brunch and a nice dinner with my boyfriend, or as a beach cover-up. It has great versatility!!! I immediately ordered the teal and green. The black skirt came in a regular plastic bag, but the teal came weirdly shrink-wrapped, so it was super wrinkly, but I hung it up and wore it around the house and that released the wrinkles. The green is still on order, and I plan to get more colors when they go on sale. (I got mine on sale, though this skirt is worth the full price.) Taking this to Italy and will probably buy two more! Very lightweight. Not see thru at all. I am 5’6”, 160 lbs and the large is perfect. It hits me below the knee, so on my Italy tours, I can wear in a church. The color is so beautiful. Can wear many different tops w this. Very versatile! It’s nice and soft. No pockets, which I like. I bought 3 of these.. 2 were delivered today. I tried on the tie dyed Khaki which I thought might not work because so much white is not slenderizing. I was pleasantly surprised at how nicely it fit. Looks great with many of my wild cat T-shirts and western style boots.. Can hide my tummy, The Fb is true that it is like T-shirt material, is somewhat thin however I do not find it see through. However at 37.00 I probably pd to much for what it is.. My plan is to wash in woolite on gentle cold cycle in a bag and put in cool dryer for a few minutes if needed for wrinkles, then hang dry so I can make it last. I bought mediums which is normal size for me esp. if my weight is a little up. I'm short about 5'2 .. and very happy with the length.. Fell about where it should .. not to long, not to short. Inside is white which I find fine for this design. Can wear this to church or out to lunch. I was so excited to try the black one on as I was really looking for a black easy to wear skirt. The inside is black which is good but material is different than the tie dye.. OK I'm thinking still can work, so I tried it on! What a disappointment! Awful! The waist band, while it's trying to be the same is not! Not as wide, full or roomy and funny looking. The material around the hips and top of the legs is clingy. For my age my legs are in pretty good shape..Ok a little bumpy at the top( have to get back on my bike) but not that bad except in this black skirt... Lets just say this skirt really shows it off... The skirt is just an absolute mess. it hides nothing.. falls ugly, material is cheap and really thin and see through. Workmanship is not good. I did see a lot of other neg FB about the black, but tried it anyway.. Its going back.. I am waiting for the leopard print skirt to arrive and hoping I will be happy with that one.. In the mean time I noticed these skirts were on a lightening deal with free return from Amazon.. So bought another tie dye, another leopard in case I like it as much as I hope and a tropical leaves. Thinking maybe the prints are better. Also I bought a solid pinecone brown hoping it is made made better than the black. If they aren't nice they will go back.. I will update this review. I would have given the tie dye a 5 star and the black a 1 star so I'm giving this review 3 stars. Update.. Out of the two leopard print one was sewed well the other not and did not fit the same. I could hear the stitching breaking as I put it on. So 1 is going back. The one that is sewed better is actually cute. The tropical print does not fit as well as the other prints, it's a little tighter but it's cute. Have not decided if I'm keeping or returning yet. All the prints are white inside, but don't think that will be a problem for me. The 2nd tie dye one was sewed well and fit like the first so I'm keeping both... The solid brown is like the black not flowy but clingy but it does not seem to be as see through but is still thin. returning. So bottom line .. these skirts are not consistent when it comes to material, how they are sewed or how they will fit. If you get a good one you'll have a easy light weight, comfortable skirt to throw on. However they are not great quality and probably cost too much at full price. In my search on Amazon for a easy basic black skirt I'm finding that it's hard to find consistency or well sewn clothes lately.. Maybe it's time to start looking for made in the USA... I bought this skirt back in 2019 and it's been my most worn vacation item ever since. It's gorgeous and flowy and extremely flattering, and a bit of wind makes it flow really nicely around you. I'm 5'5 135-140lbs and the small would fit well too with how elastic and stretchy the waist is (very flexible and comfortable elastic, not tight), but I really like the length of the medium since it comes almost to my ankles and looks amazing with strappy sandals. It's light and comfortable fabric for the beach, and in black it doubles as formalwear for formal nights on cruises. I always feel really pretty wearing this skirt, it's such a confidence booster!
