These are nice swim trunks with soft undershorts (as opposed to mesh lining). For the last couple years my kids have refused to wear the trunks with the mesh as they chafe horribly. Thank goodness for these new style swim suits with fabric undershorts. These have a nice diamond pattern and are attractive but the material is not soft or comfortable, it is a bit stiff. He prefers other brands with more comfortable fabric. Ordered these in a size S for my 16yo son who is 5'5" 130 lbs and they fit well. The burgundy color is a true burgundy/wine red.
