This dress is absolutely beautiful! It is so flattering to my figure. I'm a little more chubby through the middle. The elbow length, sheer sleeves worked wonderfully to hide my flabby upper arms! I'm 5'2" and I weigh 210. I don't normally go around telling people how much I weigh, but I think it might help someone else to determine the fit of this dress. I will say that it was slightly snug, but not too tight that it was uncomfortable. It is a little low in the front, but not risk of a nip-slip low. Speaking of slips...no need to wear one with this dress. The length was perfect for me..below my knees to hide some of my chubby legs. Wearing this to a wedding. It took me a long time to find a classy stomach- covering dress. Although I would've liked black, the plum is quite rich in color. The fabric is not heavy like other dresses I tried. I believe I was between a size 10 and 8. I chose the ten because I like to dance wild and need more dress room. It's sheer where it should be. This dress is pretty and forgiving in the belly area. I used to be a perfect size four with an hourglass figure. I was in a car accident. This dress is beautiful. It is forgiving of imperfections, and it looks good on. It looks better on, than on the hanger. You're completely covered, and it feels like you are not wearing anything. The ends of the sleeves do bother me, but I will get that altered. I also need to take it in slightly in at the waist, with a seamstress. It needs to be steamed. My mate told me the purple color looks "flattering" on me. It is the perfect thing to wear when spending time with his family, as you are completely covered. I feel like I look sexy in this dress! I am 5'4 and 135 lbs. I purchased a size 6. I did the try before you buy & it did not disappoint. The only weird thing is that the item came in a see-through plastic bag. The bag was sliced in two places. Make sure you leave something outside that the Amazon delivery driver can leave the item in. If it is raining, your dress will get wet. Very flimsy packaging. Wore this dress to my son's wedding at Muir Beach Overlook in California. Was the perfect shade of green. Fit well, super comfortable. Can dress it up or down as well. I originally bought the dress at Macys, but they didn't have my size in stock so I bought the green one here.
