I got this sleeveless turtleneck for my teen daughter, and she likes it. It is certainly good quality, which reflects the expectation of the brand and the price. The blouse is true to size but form fitting. If you prefer a looser fit, I would recommend sizing up. The turtleneck area is snug but also pretty comfortable and warm around the neck. The fabric is a cotton and nylon blend that feels soft, and my daughter, who is picky about textures, really likes the feel and texture of this shirt. She has not complained about any scratchiness. It is breathable and comfortable for all day wear. This top works well for both casual and dressier occasions. My daughter styled it with a black skirt, and it looked really nice. She also wore a cardigan with it that paired well. It looked great for wearing to a nice restaurant. Since it is a good layering piece, it is versatile enough to wear in most weather. The construction quality imcluding the stitching and finishing details is very good. It seems like it will be durable long term, and I expect my daughter to be able to wear it for a long time. It does say dry clean only on the label, but it has been fine in the washer and dryer so far. If you are going to machine wash and dry it, I'd recommend washing it in cool water and drying on low heat or tumble dry because of the nylon content and to prevent any shrinkage of the cotton. At this point in my life, I think the current price is a bit much to pay for a top, but the price is in line with the name brand. So if you are willing to pay more for the name brand, it is a good value. This sleeveless turtleneck by DKNY is absolutely beautiful! The material is extremely soft and very comfortable; worth every dollar of $60 currently advertised price, that is a steal. The low turtleneck is relaxed and does not tight to your neck. There is a "V" shape design knitted into the front which flanks any elongated necklace nicely. I wore this with black knit pants and a decorative sweater and received a number of compliments. Interestingly several weeks later I wore it with black pants and wine colored sweater, got just as many compliments. I wash this on delicate and dry it lying flat to keep the shape. For reference, I ordered size XL and I'm 5' and weigh 177lbs and it is just a tad loose; I don't like sweaters to be tight. I highly recommend this piece for any wardrobe! 10 stars! Read more
This item arrived packaged securely in a plastic outer bag to ensure the garment was in perfect condition. I’ll admit it—I’m a big fan of name brand clothing, and I usually feel more confident about the quality when I order something from a recognizable brand. This DKNY knit top definitely met my expectations. The bright cream color is gorgeous and pairs well with so many outfits, whether it’s jeans, skirts, or shorts. The knit material has a subtle V-shaped detail at the neckline, and the shoulder and waist hems are nicely finished with a thicker knit. The fit is a bit snug on me, though it seems like that may be the intended style for this top. I have been trying to update my wardrobe to look more fashionable and start using more neutral colors. I stumbled upon this sweater and thought this would be the perfect addition. I have to say I am very impressed with the quality. I love DKNY products and usually can trust they are made with a high quality but I thoroughly inspected this to make sure it would meet the same quality standards. With DKNY products I expect heavy-duty, tough, and long-lasting and this shirt has met all of those requirements. The stitching is tripled stitched and I found no lose strings and I do not expect to find any with the impeccable quality and craftsmanship. The material is a stretchy, thick, sweater like fabric that is form fitting with a collar and designed to be shorter so you can tuck it to suits, skirts or jeans. At 4’11” and 175 lb. (petite and plus sized) I wear a lot of black (because it’s slimming, you know!) so I’m always on the hunt for new options so of course I ordered this when it became available. 🙃 When it comes to layering clothes I normally wear an L or XL for the foundation piece (tank top or turtleneck) so it’s not too bulky under other clothing (sweaters, cardigans, blazers, coats, etc.). I carry some of my extra weight around my throat (can you say “double chin”?) so, when ordering turtlenecks online, I would have preferred an XXL but that’s not available in this brand/style. The overall fit is quite good, especially around the arms (I often find sleeveless styles bunch or gap in odd ways) and the material initially feels quite soft but becomes a bit itchy while wearing. Unfortunately for me it’s just too tight around the neck - not enough to be dangerous but no amount of pulling at it makes it more comfortable. I didn’t even get a picture wearing it because I just needed to get out of it. I’m no designer/seamstress but it seems like the material is soft and flexible enough to add an extra .5" for the larger sizes. 🤷♀️ So, even though it’s not working for me, it’s still a really nice blouse (in spite of the higher-than-necessary price - I guess because it’s a name brand?).
