When I got the boots, I was worried once I saw them because I thought I would be getting black boots but they’re more dark grey-purpleish. When I tried them on, I didn’t care anymore because they are comfortable and adorable. I had tried on a similar pair from another store and they were not nearly as comfortable. If you are looking to get a very specific color, I would be careful but other than that the shoes are great. They do run about a half a size big or so (I wear 8, and I got 7.5 since there is no 8), but I don’t have a problem with it because I can still walk in them and it allows me to wear thick socks. I was so pleased with these boots - I ordered my correct size 8.5 and with a pair of socks they fit perfectly. Since these will be used for the yard and in the mud I would always be wearing socks. If you are going to wear nylons or very thin socks you MIGHT want a half size smaller - but I don't think it would make that much of a difference. They are extremely comfortable too! I bought these for a great price and we finally had a cold and rainy day for me to enjoy them. Boy was I wrong! They hurt like heck and I even went up a size. They’re cute but they hurt in 2 places, the toe bed and around the ankle if you don’t have on high socks or place your pants inside. Read more

I haven’t worn these through deep puddles but in light rain, they do just fine. They are a warm (though not meant for winter!) and true to size. 95% of the time I wear a size 8 1/2, that’s what I ordered and it fits just fine. Brown is a great color! It doesn’t have the contrast that some of the other styles do but it really looks like a nice riding or paddock boot. I think my only complaint is after a few weeks of wearing them, the soles on the inside are starting to slip. Overall, really great buy for the money! Read more
