I bought this for my daughter since she wanted a night light. She has a small lamp, but she also wanted a bear light. It looks nice and it's easy to use. Just tap its head a couple of times to switch it on and off. There are two modes--warm white and rainbow. The white has adjustable brightness levels and the rainbow mode can cycle through colors automatically or you can tap the bear's head to set one of a number of colors. It also has a timer which turns the light off after 30 or 60 minutes. Pretty standard stuff. My only minor gripe is that the light on the dimmest setting is too bright for me. This nightlight’s glow is just bright enough to see our crib in a dark room. Fortunately, it is dim enough to not affect our baby’s sleep. To be honest though, most of the time this is used as a “toy”. Our one year old has easily figured out how to change colors by squeezing or banging the penguin. The penguin is sturdy enough to hold up to his use, and has turned into a favorite toy. With the changing colors, we try to work in some color-identification at the same time. My only “challenge” is with the surface texture of the light. The substance with which it is made attracts dirt and hair light no other. It is slightly sticky, and no amount of washing can change that. I would not submerge the penguin, as it is probably not waterproof. This product is useful, not only for it’s intended use as a nightlight, but as a fun and educational toy. It is definitely worth the washing that will be needed after every use. Read more

My kids call this little night light Pengy (the Penguin) and they are obsessed with it! It's so cute, is easy to charge (also comes with the cable), holds it's charge for days on end and is super simple to turn on and off - just tap it lightly! It also has an on and off switch for when not in use and travel. It has multiple color options or can be a normal warm glow night light if that's what you prefer. The soft touch tapping turns the lights on and off or changes the brightness levels, and the material is a super soft silicone that is kid friendly and easy to clean. The size is as advertised and it functions exactly as described. My kids won't go to bed without this night light now and it makes bedtime fun and easy.
