Super, super soft, but thick enough that it never sags. Although I purchased it for the crate, my little dog uses it as a bed with open door. Very thin material, not as advertised. It seems like there is a little polyester fill and not meant for medium to large breed dogs despite size. I have a Dalmatian 65 lbs and a GS 78 lbs, bought two sizes 36, and 42”. Not happy with the amount of fill in this. Top is soft yes and bottom is a little slip resistant. **Update: I am updating this review because after some thought and seeing my animals fit in the travel carrier I noticed it wasn’t too bad. The more stuffing in the bed the less room the animals have to stand..etc. I will say however the bottom isn’t too slip resistant. I see the attempts made to avoid it but it does make my animals comfortable. I bought 3 of these as they were the cheapest seller at the time. Two dogs, one cat. I read from another reviewer to allow your animal to get acclimated to the carrier before flying. Since the smallest one is the only one that came in (no wheels) I set it up, and before I knew it my cat was sleeping in there. I am really happy she is getting acclimated. We leave in a month and it’ll be an 8-10 hour flight. Just put the new carrier padding in today so I’m sure she’ll love that. Would definitely recommend for your animal to get used to it. Set it up and just leave the door open. I set it up with the cups on the door and left it that way since that’s how it would really be. I changed the review to a 4 star as this bedding will get the job done to make them feel comfortable, it’s washable, soft, and has minimal resistance stubs on the bottom. My only complaint was it is a little pricy for the substance, and could have used a little more padding. All in all they’ll be using it for just the airline not as actual bedding as the dogs will chew through it in less than 1 minute. For now the pad is in a separate room until the dogs carrier comes in. Overall I would recommend. Read more

* I stand corrected, as it has survived several washes and is better now than when it first arrived. I’m updating this review, and changing the rating. Happy to have been wrong! Totally worth the buy. It’s just ok. I don’t think the quality justifies the price at all, but it’s not worth the hassle to return it either. It was vacuum sealed, and it didn’t fluff up at all after opening it or letting it sit out of the packaging. It is soft, but it’s thin and a lesser quality than I was expecting. It definitely won’t survive many washes, if any. Read more
