Grooming my doxies has been increasingly difficult with my arthritic shoulders. I've been grooming them for years, and I never even knew about this amazing hammock!! Wow, what a game changer. They will have to get used to it, but even the first groom they were only a little bit fussy! I found a place in my basement over a table that's against the wall where wire shelves are installed. The strap fits perfectly through the shelving and it's very secure. Fairly easy to "flip" the pup around and re-attach to the strap to groom the other side if your set up is like mine. The only thing I did different was switch out the clips that attach to the straps because they were difficult for me to insert into the two D-rings at the ends of each strap. Using a sturdy S hanger and it's much easier - but my pups don't wiggle around either. Overall, wonderful product!! Read more

After purchasing this grooming harness, which is popular among dog owners, I decided to give it a try with my cats. Here's my experience, adjusted with the clarification that this harness is indeed intended for use with both dogs and cats: **Intended for Both Dogs and Cats**: Though more commonly seen with dogs, this harness is designed for use with both animals. My review focuses on its adaptability and performance with cats. **Sizing Tips for Cat Owners**: If you're using this for a cat, most will require an extra small size. The small proved too big for my average-sized cats, so I ended up ordering an extra small, which was a much better fit. **Requires Teamwork**: Inserting a cat into the harness wasn't a solo task. It seems that regardless of the animal, having an extra set of hands can make the process smoother and more efficient. **Quality and Durability**: The harness is impressively well-built and sturdy, reflecting its dual-purpose design. It's reassuring to know it's crafted to withstand the rigors of grooming both dogs and cats. **Adjustability Could Improve**: Despite its solid construction, the harness would benefit from adjustable straps. This feature would greatly enhance its versatility, allowing for a snugger, more secure fit during use. **Comfort and Care**: Once secured, the harness seemed to offer comfort to my cats, and its washable nature is a big plus for maintaining hygiene. **Additional Accessories**: For those not familiar with such grooming tools, purchasing the metal hanging harness is recommended. It's a necessary complement for achieving the full grooming setup. I'm awarding this harness 4 stars for its quality, versatility, and overall value. It adeptly serves its purpose for both dogs and cats, with minor areas for improvement in adjustability. Whether you're grooming a dog or a cat, this harness is a solid choice, offering a safer and more manageable grooming experience. Read more

My 30 lb. Shiba Inu is not a fan of getting her nails trimmed, and it’s often a traumatic experience for her at the grooming salon. I got a tip about trying one of these dog grooming hammocks from a Shiba Inu group, and they were right! The hammock sort of gives her no other option but to just “hang there” when I Dremel her nails. I also bought this pull up bar (here on Amazon too). It’s intended for humans (obviously) with a 200-250 weight limit, but since my dog is only 30 lbs. the tension on the bar is sturdy enough to hold her without installing be support brackets. This combo is a game changer! Read more

I have three Persian kitties. I ordered two different sizes in this and have tried this grooming jacket on all three according to their weight. All of them were able to somewhat get out of it. Plus they hated it. It put them in pure panic. They all freaked out and got really twisted up in it. As soon as I removed them from the jacket and set them down on the grooming table they instantly calmed down. I could see this working for dogs a lot better. If you’re looking at this for cats I wouldn’t get it. Read more
