The BEST dog bed you can buy.... I bought one bed for my Great Pyrenees puppy. He is still potty training so I wanted a bed that was truly waterproof. He is currently 45lbs but will probably be around 110-115lbs fully grown. This bed will accommodate him as he grows. My first impression when opening the packaging was 'This bed is PERFECT - EXACTLY what I wanted!'. The bed is made with premium quality memory foam that is 4" thick! It has a separate, waterproof covering that protects the foam. In addition, it comes with 2 outer covers, one is a thick denim, the second is a lighter weight micro suede cover that has a non-slip backing. ALL covers are durably constructed with heavy duty zippers. When I opened the first bed, I was so impressed with the overall quality that I went online and order a second bed AND a larger sofa style bed. The size of the bed I ordered fits perfectly in his crate but also looks great in my living room. I put the second bed in my bedroom. Easy to put everything together. Be sure to let the foam expand naturally and read the instructions. The memory foam and separate waterproof cover are game changers!!!!!! No more trying to figure out how to clean, disinfect, deodorize the foam if liquid leaks through the cover (you know what I mean :) ). The memory foam is STURDY, comfortable and sooooo much better than the egg carton orthopedic foam I have purchased in the past. I tried the bed and would sleep on it myself. I went to a national chain pet store (for something else) and looked at their beds. They were selling beds for twice the price and much lesser quality that will not last. They were constructed with either the egg carton 'orthopedic' foam or shredded stuff. I envision these beds lasting for several years without the foam flattening. You can purchase additional covers. Other “orthopedic” dog beds are made from cheap egg crate foam that flattens over time. However, after a couple months of having this bed for my dogs, it still holds up strong and is extremely comfortable. It’s so comfortable, that one of my dogs that usually doesn’t use beds loves it and won’t use any other dog bed we have. Even my cat uses it. The waterproof cover allows for easy cleaning, is very durable, and offers great protection for the foam from dog nails. I don't leave many reviews, but this bed is worth the time. I have 2 male Shepherd brothers who's past time is literally destroying anything they've come in contact with. I was all set to spend twice the cost on the famous "almost indestructible beds" when I happened across this one. Mind you, I typically have to pay double for 2 of everything, so I was still skeptical even after reading rave reviews on Amazon. My dogs have already plowed, beaten or chewed their way through 6 beds. Upon arrival, the first thing I noticed was the quality of this memory foam compared to others as well as its thickness. The sheer weight of the denim cover was at least 3 times heavier than others I've purchased. The cover is snug, but roomy enough, so say goodbye to struggling with those tight zippers that break from mattress bulge. The zipper pull is made of larger heavy metal for ease and is still easily tucked in upon the end of close so my pups can't find it. The extra sewn band of fabric on the cover comes over the zippered area to conceal the zipper edge. Once installed in the crate, my pups are clueless where to find it. This item comes with 3 covers. One heavy denim, one waterproof, and one extra with non skid bottom for laundry day. Speaking of washing. I've washed 3 times and dried on low and covers look amazing. The dogs go in the crates for sleep only, I noticed the 1st week how comfortable and how well they slept over our baby cam. I'm now ready to take 2 more oversized ruined dog beds out of my living room and replace with 2 more of these. BEST dog bed ever!!!!! (And I should know I’ve bought a lot!!). This is the most durable dog bed!! I have an 11 month old Doberman who has chewed through every other dog bed we’ve had (and toys made of Kevlar). It’s so thick and comfortable.
