I have this in XXL and Jumbo. The measurements provided here are accurate, and fit the spots I intended for them like a glove. I have a Great Dane who is very large, even as Great Dane's go. The mattresses are sufficiently thick, and provide a comfortable resting place for this very large dog. We have an enormous crate for him, which is the largest standard size available. The XXL fits in this crate like it was made for it. We use the Jumbo size in our bedroom as his nighttime bed. He loves the bed, and uses it all the time. We had issues with him not sleeping through the night prior to getting this, and he's done much better since. The bed is large enough for him to spread out on, while still having enough room for my Golden Retriever to join him. We've found the beds to be very durable, showing no signs of wear after almost a year of use, with him in the crate daily. We have extra covers so that we can replace while we wash them. The covers wash very well, and we hang-dry them after washing. They dry quickly. The inside liner, which is said to be waterproof, is not waterproof. It provides some protection against water penetration from drool or minor accidents, even diarrhea, but it won't block any medium to large volume of liquid, such as a full urination on the bed. Our Great Dane had an accident with a full urine release when he was very ill, and it penetrated the liner fully. It was quite a challenge to clean the foam (search Google for instructions). The cover an liner, however, cleaned up very easily. Even with the not-so-waterproof liner, I think this bed is good enough to warrant a full 5 star rating. I solidly recommend this bed for anyone needing a good comfortable spot for their dog(s). Read more

This is a really solid product and you will know this the minute you unbox it. The bed comes in four separate pieces: The memory foam and three separate covers. Assembly is fairly easy, involving a slight bit of stuffing of the foam into the various covers. If you fold the foam into a U-shape before inserting it into each cover, as indicated by the accompanying instructions, you shouldn’t have any issues. The memory foam that is at the heart of the bed seems to be of a very high quality. It’s certainly as good as or better than than the innards of any other dog bed I have ever owned. It does seem a little rigid when you first unwrap it, but don’t be put off by this. It tends to soften up a bit after a week or so of use, although it remains firm and easily supports the weight of even the largest of dogs (I have three Huskies). The three zippered covers that come with the bed are also of very good quality. The first nylon, dark brown cover slips over the memory foam directly and acts as a waterproof liner. The second, canvas-like, black cover slips over the brown liner, protecting the bed and adding durability. The third, two-toned brown cover is a nice addition that adds a velvet-like, soft top to increase comfort and a non skid bottom so that the bed can be used on hardwood or tile floors. If needed, you can remove each of the zippered covers for maintenance. Barring an serious accident, you will probably never need to remove anything other than the third cover for cleaning. The proof of my satisfaction is that I just purchased my second bed after having owned one for several months and seeing that it met with my dogs approval. There might be some dogs that don’t like this bed, but based on my experience, you are getting a high quality, well thought out product that will provide your dogs with both support and comfort. This bed is perfect for any big dog breed and the only bed worth your money in my opinion. I used to have a Rottweiler and he was 150 pounds. yes big dog. He loved this bed. he always used to want to sleep on top of the beds but after we bought this bed for him he stayed on it and every-time when it was bed time he would run to this bed. It brings a water proof cover and then you put another cover on top of that(green). so you can spill anything on the bed or if your pet has an accident, you can easily wash the green cover and then wipe the water proof cover. the bed is thick enough, it always goes back to its shape. in my opinion the covers are not that hard to get on at all. the green cover is a little bit rough so i used to put a blanket on top of it but thats the only negative to this bed. This bed has many uses too. if your moving, you can also use this as a cushion to cushion your delicates. i have moved 2 times already and i used it for that purpose and its still like brand new. the quality of the bed is extremely good, just make sure that if you do use it for that purpose to have the green cover on. Cons: - Extremely good quality. even useful when moving to cushion your delicates. - The bed is big enough for a 150 pound Rottweiler with room to spare. you can fit another full grown person. - The green top cover is washable. - Water proof cover - always takes its shape back. Cons: - Absolutely nothing! - Well, the green cover is a bit rough( only a little bit) but that's what makes it such a durable bed. just put a blanket on top of it and your dog will love it even more.
