I purposefully got this at a larger size. I have sensory issues and fibromyalgia, so anything touching me can really physically hurt sometimes. Anyway, this came vacuum packed, was easy to open with scissors, and I opened it up and put my hand in and oh my GOD this thing is soft. Think of a baby blanket. Think of baby stuffed toys. You know that super soft plush fabric? This is what that is like. It is the softest thing, and you need it. First impression: super warm. Like, I could honestly leave the house at 20°F and still feel warm. I had to take it off once I got in the house because it's that warm and cozy. AND I'm in a rayon dress right now! The sleeve cuffs are a little itchy, but they are super stretchy, too. I can easily fold them over to make sure only the fluffy parts are touching me and tight around my wrists to keep my arms warm. Super easy fix. Honestly, this thing is a steal. I checked out the pockets: they're even. Checked the hemming on the inside of the cuffs: it's secure, but fraying at the edges. If you know how to sew, it'll be a pretty easy fix. They are pretty straight! Same distance all the way around-- they weren't rushing through the process at all, I don't think. The hemming on the perimeter of everything is secure-- You shouldn't need to fix anything. The hemming is straight here as well. Get one! Soft soft soft, super super warm. You got sensory issues? Get one. You have chronic pain? Get one. You hate puffy coats? Get one. You like soft things that feel like a gentle warm hug? Get one. I mean honestly. I foolishly ordered this just before the hectic holiday season and am STILL kicking myself nearly a year later for missing the return window. Not a single aspect of this hoodie even remotely lives up to the pics and description. It arrived with a giant hole up the side and barely looks finished let alone professional. There are no tags, rough edges, and shoddy stitching throughout. The inner seams stick out so obtrusively that they irritate my skin. The fabric is super cheap compared to similar garments I got for half the price. It deteriorates rapidly even with proper laundering. I hoped it would fluff up more since it came vacuum-sealed, but its thick and full appearance in the pics was just an illusion. The faux fur is fairly long yet has nothing substantial underneath--no solid base layer, no inner lining. Light shines right through it, so it's certainly not stopping any other elements. Calling this a jacket or coat is a huge stretch when it's inferior to a regular sweatshirt across the board. Initially, I still hoped to use this hoodie to supplement my old winter coat--but, contrary to the listing, it's even less suitable for layering! Although the material is thin, there's an excessive amount, even for this oversized style. I can barely stuff it all into my sized-up coat. The sleeves are super puffy on top with absurdly long, tight cuffs. That awkward combination is uncomfortable under AND over other tops. There are basically zero situations where I'd want something this big and bulky that provides so little warmth. Even if it was appropriate more than a few days a year, I'd still pass because it's beyond unflattering thanks to the poor construction. The body hangs like a giant, lifeless potato sack, the sleeves just look odd, and the egregiously cheap cuffs are clear from a mile away. The front doesn't even drape nicely because the collar and hood are sewn so unevenly. Sizing down wouldn't solve such issues. To add insult to injury, the pockets are utterly useless. The huge openings face directly to the sides, thus everything slides right out. It breaks my heart to criticize such large pockets on women's clothing, but these are about as functional as those infuriating fake ones. No matter how dissatisfied I am, I go out of my way to find positives in every product I review, but the pockets were my last hope here.
