Great value for these Great razors. My husband really likes them a lot. Read more
The Good: * The blades are very sharp and cut cleanly without pulling the hair * The pivot of the cartridge on the handle is smooth and allows the blades to mostly conform to the face * The handle is ergonomic and easy to hold. There are a lot of newer styles that I don't find comfortable but this was not bad at all * The price for a brand-new handle, for a style of cartridge I'd never had before, 4x cartridges and a travel case (for the blade end) is not bad at all ($14.85 at time of review) The Meh: * I understand the reasoning for unique cartridge styles, so that people are locked into an ecosystem, but I really dislike being locked into an ecosystem. That said, as mentioned above, the price for the bundle is not bad at all * I'm not convinced that the world needs a 6-blade razor. More in "The Verdict" * Because of the closeness of the blades, I did find that I was rinsing the razor much more frequently and not shaving nearly as large a portion of my face as I do with other brands * I wasn't 100% sure when the handle and cartridge were fully attached, and had to pull it out to be sure. It's not obvious and it's not "tight", so be warned. The Bad: * There is nothing bad about this bundle or brand at all, very solid and well made The Verdict: I would recommend the bundle and DSC in general based on the quality and performance of this bundle. That said, there's some issues. The first issue is the 6-blades, because I'm not sold on the necessity. I use a 5-blade razor almost daily and it cuts just as close and, in some ways, closer. In order to save space in the cartridge, the blades are VERY close together, which means that they just get "clogged" sooner than a cartridge with fewer blades spaced just a touch further apart. For me, at least, this resulted in a slightly less close shave in areas on my face that I usually don't have to go "against the grain" to get really close. I'm also not a fan of the attachment system. It looks...not fully connected even when it is, and I don't like being unsure if my razor and handle are going to come apart. It's solid, but not obvious, which I personally didn't like. All told, however, the price is great and the quality is top notch. Read more

Years ago, I used to subscribe to DSC's blades via mail, but eventually switched to a competitor whose blades I preferred. When I had the chance to review this set, I thought I'd see how far they had come in the 8 years or so since I switched to their competitor. I was pleasantly surprised with this kit, the blades do a great job shaving, and the included protective head for the razor does a great job of letting the blade dry and preventing it from getting caught up in the netting of my travel kit. My only negative criticism is that getting the blades attached is a bit fiddly compared to my usual brand, but that's not exactly a major issue, just something I noticed. Once my included blades are used up, I'll have to check the refill pricing and decide which way I want to go for my travel razor! Read more
Works as expected. The blades are sharp and cut great. I use it to shave my head and it leaves skin nice and smooth with no bumps or cuts (in combination with shaving cream). The handle has a nice grippy black material (Maybe rubber or silicone? Didn't see any mention of it when I got it.). It's small enough to fit anywhere if you need it for on-the-go, but it works just fine as an every day shaver for keeping strictly in the house. I was using disposable razors before this and I can admit it's a nice step up in quality (sometimes the pads on those fall out immediately on the first use, etc.). Seems like a decent value if you don't mind being locked into the DSC ecosystem with the refill cartridges. Read more

Good razor set, the blades are sharp and don't pull on my beard hair. I like that it comes with 4 extra cartridges and a razor cover. Now, I am not completely on board with the 6 blade razor vs the regular 3/4 blade razor. I don't really see any difference. Overall, a decently priced starter set for nice razors. Read more
Best razor ever? This razor is great -- from the super grippy silicone nubbins on the handle to the snap-close case that covers the entire head of the razor rather than just the blades, I love everything about it. The handle is nice enough that you actually pause and take note of how nice it is -- the contours fit you hand no matter how you grip it, and the silicone accents keep that grip secure. Also - the entire mechanism that holds and releases the cartridge is metal and feels far more durable that I've ever seen in a 'disposable' razor before. Just. I can't say enough nice things about this razor -- it fully deserves all the hype it gets and I feel silly that I had never tried them before now. This starter kit includes the handle, cover, and four cartridges and is an excellent value considering the quality. If you need a new razor, get this one. Read more

Good razor for the money, smooth, clean shave every time. The handle is heavy and is metal so won’t brake easily. Gave 3 stars because revived wrong color. Read more
