LOVE THESE but wore them for the first time yesterday and they are heavy so when your walking you will be making slapping sounds as you walk lol, also it took a minute to get used to walking in them for some reason Read more
I got the Dolls Kill Atmosphere Fleece Lined Suede Platform Boots by DARKER WAVS – Winter Boots with Cozy Fleece & Tread in Brown, size 8. I wear a 7 1/2 women's shoe and the size 8 fits great. I definitely wouldn't size down because I'm on the smaller side of 7 1/2 and this boot doesn't have much extra room. I didn't find them hard to get on, especially not compared to similar boots. I personally prefer black, but the brown suede is classic. These are hilarious. I love the cozy-meets-edgy style. I don't find the platform too hard to walk on. I wouldn't wear these for long walks, but they're fun when I don't mind making a fashion statement on my feet. Read more
I love these boots! I'm normally an 8 or 8 1/2, but I ordered a 9 after seeing people having issues getting the boots on. I'm very glad I did because I've found them to be easy to put on and walk in. The weighted platform really makes these quite sturdy to walk in. When I first held them, I thought for sure I'd fall whe I put them on. I even made a big deal of putting them on in my living room so I could hold onto my armchair like I was wearing skates... just to have them be really easy to walk in and very comfortable. Hahahaha Overreaction of the year over here. I'm personally glad I sized up, I think if the shoes were too hard t get on and off, I might not wear them very often. Though, I will say, it won't be the first time I've worn a 9. I think these are too cute, personally. I do tend to wear all black and platforms, usually not this tall, but I think a lot of people ca pull this look off. They look really cute with leggings! Read more
These boots are for sure the most fun item I own, shoe-wise. I'm a boot fanatic, but my taste usually leans toward long-term or utilitarian choices, so this was an incredibly fun addition to my boot options. I have plenty of sandals and tennis shoes that are platform-type and very comfy, but I also wasn't 100% sure how that would work, physics-wise with a pair of boots. Here to tell you the platform works even better with boots! You know those super-muscles in your toes from keeping your platform slides on your feet all summer? You won't need them here. So comfortable, and feels so stable underfoot! Plus, that's more distance from the cold floor/earth! Well made - and they'd need to be, since there's a fun experiment in physics. Everything sewn up quite tidily and the shoe works as one well-designed entity (which seems like an odd thing to say, except that I've absolutely bought shoes that were delightful in an aesthetic sense, and made zero sense in the mechanical/physics realm. These boots work both aesthetically and physically without having undue wear points. Zero turned ankles! They're like running around in regular boots, but with a slightly better view than you had before. Looks super cute with skinny jeans or leggings and a fluffy sweater. When you wear these boots, they're the star, so show them off! Lots of compliments so far and zero blisters, zero instances of rushing home to find something else to wear. Wore great from day one out of the box and still holding up through this weird spate of cold spring weather we're having. Will be a little sad to retire them for summer when it arrives pretty soon, but these will be the first boots I get out next winter! Can definitely recommend! Read more
Sadly, these boots are not what I expected. The sizing is not standard and the sawing/gluing is defective in spots and coming undone out of the box. The top on one is more narrow than the other. There are no real insoles or arch support. This item maybe okay for taking pictures and as an accessory in that context, but it's not a functional shoe. Read more
The first thing to note is that there is no size chart included for these Uber expensive boots. I’m a size 8.5 so I ordered up to make sure they fit. Upon trying them on I find they’re a little over a half inch too big. The toe area is spacious if you have wider feet and like that. But to not include sizing for a boot like this is a bit ridiculous. You do have to maneuver your foot into the boot but once you get it past the ankle hole it’s ok. It does feel like you’re slugging around a brick. I don’t think they’re worth the price given the fit Read more
We got these for our daughter who is under 5' and she LOVES them. They suite her goth-retro style and the look great on her. They seem very well made and are easier to wear then you might think considering the massive lift. It seems that for most people these ran pretty true to size but for our daughter they seemed to run a bit large and she has to wear them with inserts. Read more
I'm sorry but these are so uncomfortable and impossible to walk in. They arent worth the price either. It's too bad because i love this brand. Read more
