I needed a slim bag that still had space for chargers, a mouse, and a book/notebook. Pros: -Slim design. Not bulky and lightweight -Padded very well. I feel comfortable putting this down without babying it on the way -Expandable pockets for bulky chargers and my mouse. It doesn't stretch the bag out and looks smooth -I currently have a computer with a case and a textbook with enough space for more. The luggage strap is an added benefit I didn't initially look for. Cons: -The strap feels cheap. I don't expect it to break, but it's thin and doesn't have padding -The design looks like there would be a small pocket on the outside, but there is not. Not a big deal, but would have been convenient for a wallet, business cards, etc. Read more

I wanted this case for a new 17in Dell Precision Mobile Workstation. These tend to be fairly hefty laptops and not all 17in laptop bags work well with them. This one does. Dell brand laptop bags tend to me much heavier and I’ve been using one of these to lug around my older Precision laptop and quite frankly it was getting to be a bit much. This one is much lighter but I don’t feel I’m sacrificing protectiveness with this much lighter bag. This has a hand grip and shoulder strap. I use both at different times. The inner laptop section Is well protected and the outer storage sections are generous enough even for a packrat like me. Although I must admit it’s pretty obvious my bag is stuffed with cables, adapters, and other computer giblets I use in my work with clients. I didn’t test the waterproof capability beyond splashing a little water at the outside and watching it bead-up and roll off. I expect it will keep the contents dry during a short walk from the car to the client on a rainy day but not take a chance on it if fording a river The zippers and Velcro closures all seems well designed work well for me. I like the tan color I got. Nice change from decades using grey or black laptop bags. My 17in Precision fits perfectly and I’m very pleased with it. That’s why I’m giving this laptop bag 5 stars.
