install is a bit confusing however it is simple. they now offer an even smaller unit w/o visible wires & has a display (appears to be for fords only?) .. plugs into rearview mirror so should be simpler to install. new one does look more "professional". i do like this one (i have a toyota camry). Worked for our 2016 RX-350. Took me about an hour (takes some courage to pop off the mirror cover in the car!). Only provides power when the ACC is on - no parking mode available - but a quick, cheap, and easy way to get a dash cam powered without running wires all over the front of your car. Read more
