Original (2*): Gears work, hands don’t. Unfortunately this was a present and sat for a bit, so I can’t return :/ The clock is gorgeous otherwise, just wish it worked. EDIT: the seller reached out within a couple days of my initial review. They offered to send a new part to get the clock working AND a full refund (which is above and beyond). This shows they really care about their customers. After my review, I used the sheet they sent with the clock (explains how to remove the mechanism for replacement) and watched some YouTube tutorials on battery operated clocks. I figured out the battery housing wasn't conducting and got it fixed. No need for a new part or a refund. I'm still keeping my review at 4* because I had to do repairs, but the mechanism could've jostled loose in shipping so it may have been out of the seller's hands . This company has excellent customer service, they'll get my business again if/when I seek another awesome clock. Additional comments: the clock really is gorgeous. I bought it as a gift for my girlfriend who loves clocks (but is also picky). The gears move at perfect speed, they're not obtrusive in our living room but still eye catching when you look at the clock. The face is real glass, not cheap plastic or anything that will shatter by looking at it. The wood is great quality (make sure to hit a stud when hanging, it's a heavy/sturdy clock!). This clock is substantial…it’s large, very heavy, and the gears really move! I had purchased a similar clock that was significantly lighter in weight (yet cost about the same) and returned that one because they sent the wrong color. I bought this one on a whim. I was so surprised and impressed! This clock has a glass face, and the thickness is almost 4”. I think the glass contributes to the weight. It definitely took two people to hang it. It has a metal hanger with a round hole on the back. It should not fall off a properly secured nail. The clock is quiet. The gears run smoothly. No noise from the gears running. It takes three AA batteries. The battery change is the only challenge I can foresee. I think I will be able to slide the clock on the nail and lift the clock enough to change the batteries. In theory this is a stunning visual piece with much interest. Unfortunately the first attempt came broken in two places. It was returned. The second clock came undamaged looking gorgeous. Unfortunately that's all it did...looked great..fantastic even, but the hands would not move. Very frustrating because it looks lovely and I so wanted it on my kitchen wall. Read more

Dorboker worked to make this right and I am completely happy with my clock. It is now working correctly and all is good. The hands on the clock blended with the background and were unreadable. Different hands were sent in the package with no directions on changing them. Searched a while on the internet to find directions, which were not the same as my clock. All of the gears do not turn, some turn sometimes, and not at other times. Clock is consistently one or two minutes off. For the price this should not have been a DYI project that doesn't fully work and doesn't keep consistent time. Read more
