This is the *PERFECT* everyday tote. Not too big, not too small, perfect number of interior pockets, holds all my essentials with plenty of room for random things I might need to throw in that day. The zip is excellent quality. The black is true black with a subtle sheen, and the craftsmanship is excellent. I’ve had this bag as my daily handbag for 3 months now and it looks as good as the day I got it! If you’re debating between this and the French brand, I really feel this is the better choice. Many compartments to help find items like keys, would have liked shorter drop handle but tote is large but not overwhelming large as to be overpowering. The black tote has neutral beige leather accents to make this useful, practical tote stylish. I find that I constantly use this bag! I originally bought for travel for its size but I use this bag daily. I almost bought the " french copy" but I actually like the look and structure of this bag much better. You can spend a hundred or so dollars more for the L brand, but I think this bag is far superior. The durability is great- I had purchased the first bag over 3 years ago and finally replaced as the leather strap was showing some wear - otherwise, you can expect this bag to hold up quite well. I've had this tote roughly two and a half years and it still looks brand new. This is better than the expensive version I originally considered purchasing. Has more pockets too. After the amount of usage (mostly trips and occasional work outings) it has received, so far the only visible wear and tear would be on the edges. As shown in the photo, it is the sewing point where each end of the handle attaches to the bag. That particular depreciation could be from many instances. Packing the bag to the brim, carrying multiple heavy objects, and carting it long distances over time. Hopefully it is a simple repair at a shop if the wear and tear become to much for the tote. It would be nice if it had a luggage strap for longer trips, but I know it would change the look and negate the duplication. Aside from that, it is a great tote and one of my favorite purchases. Love this bag. It is light weight, has a front compartment to have keys easily accessible and inner pockets. Looks more expensive and I have had compliments when I used it. I prefer a little larger bag and this the perfect size--not too big. Read more

Maybe you've read this product smells and like me wonder if people could be exaggerating? After all how can a product have so many awesome reviews with the smell being so prominent? Well the smell was very overpowering when it first arrived. I decided to put the tote in the guest room to gas off the factory smell. A good two weeks later I grab it to use it as it's raining (that's why I bought it to save my nice leather purses from weather) I notice it still has a very strong odor. Less then it first arrived yet still very strong and distracting. Believe me please when I say you can smell it feet away not just up close and personal. This is a shame because it's a well made beautiful bag! I have no other issues but the smell. I thought well maybe that's not a huge issue I will continue using it however upon arriving home the things IN the bag such as my nice leather planner and wallet smelled like the bag! I had to wash my hands as well to remove smell! I mean come on that's ridiculous! I would return the product but my husband tossed the dust bag due to the smell! Maybe I can still return this bag at the price point it's not a giant loss but still enough money to cause me to take the time to write a detailed review and hopefully return it to Amazon. I bought two name brand purses and returned them before ordering this one. Perfect classic, understated style. Very lightweight with lots of pockets inside. It's big enough for my 13 inch macbook and a few other things, but doesn't feel like a BIG bag. I have a dog who sheds on all my clothing, but this black bag doesn't pick up any of it. You can feel good carrying it anywhere you would the similar LC bag, but it's so cheap that you can afford to replace it if anything happens to it. Just a great simple bag. Love it. Read more
