This is a very high quality adhesive. I used it to place some acoustic panels on a concrete wall. The porous surface made it difficult for other adhesives to stick. But this tape has worked great for more than a year. When I had to remove it from the wall it did not rip the paint or left residue. The only issue which I don’t think is a deal breaker is that the red backing is fairly difficult to remove. My recommendation is to place the tape on the item and leave it for a while. Also using some fine tweezers helps because you can grab a corner and quickly rip it off which is better than slowly peeling it in my experience. Read more

Best double sided tape ever! I use this to fix my magnetic knife holder to glass tiles. I've tried at least 5 other tapes, including the one comes with the knife holder. It falls after a day or two with these tapes. However, with VHB tape, it works after 24 hours of curing and everything is very sturdy. I am very satisfied with the result. Read more

This tape is seriously tough — it held up a heavy tool rack and some car trim with no problem. It’s waterproof, flexible, and easy to apply. Just a heads-up: the red liner can be tricky to peel, but a knife or tweezers helps. Great all-around tape! Read more

I thought this was a little pricey for tape, but it was worth the purchase. Used it to attach kydex to a carbon bike frame. Tape was easy to work with. The bike gets bounced around A LOT, washed, and the kydex that this tape holds on is regularly impacted and dragged across rocks.... it continues to hold. The tape has held securely and hasn't peeled or separated. It's good stuff. Read more

They warrant this product for 24 months for good reason. I had several projects, so I bought this big roll. After 2 years, the red protective tape became impossible to remove. You have to destroy the underlying double adhesive tape in order to get the red tape off. The product performed as stated, but I only ended up using about 10% of the roll, wasting 90% of the $19 cost. I expected better from 3M. Buy a smaller roll, if you can find it. Read more

I really love this tape. I use it in industrial type situations all the time for different things and it holds up amazingly well. Recently I created a battery bank for a UPS and taped the batteries into a set so I could slide them in. It gets hot in that UPS regularly sitting at over 100 degrees Fahrenheit for years at a time, and this tape doesn't miss a beat. The set of batteries I pulled out from 2 years ago also had this tape on them and they were stuck together like new. No issues. I have even used these to tape down solar panels to the roof of one of my trailers and they haven't moved an inch. Here are some pro-tips to get this to stick to its highest potential: 1. Prep. Yes, we all know it's a time vampire, but if you prep the surface correctly, it WILL stick like you won't believe. Not only should you clean the surface with soap and water and get all the gunk off, the real trick is right before you apply the tape, shoot it down with some denatured alcohol. Give the alcohol a minute or two to dry and stick this tape on. The alcohol removes all the contaminants from the surface and gives you pristine sticking power. The difference it makes is amazing. 2. Cut an extra length to hang off each side because you're going to get fingerprints/oils/dirt on the very end of the tape. It's just a reality and what you do is leave yourself a half inch or so on each side and then trim it back with a razor blade when done and you'll keep that perfect bond. 3. When trying to start pulling off the strip on the second side, use the edge of a razor blade or exacto knife or something to get underneath and lift (Don't pry... lift) and you'll be able to get it off without munging the end. If you followed step 2, you'll cut off the end where you might have made little marks with the razor blade anyway, and everything will be nice and clean and stick for a long time, in all kinds of adverse conditions. 4. For the super paranoid, if you're using in particularly harsh or outdoor environments, run a bead of silicon over the mating surface edge after you've given this stuff time to set and you'll find that no water can intrude (even though it says waterproof, what no proof it some more?) and it will hang on to the surface for a very long time, even under reasonable load. This is some of best stuff you can buy, I use it any time I have a "Must hold" situation. I hope you found this helpful Read more
