I suffer from Seborrheic Dermatitis and have been getting worsening flare-ups from using other drugstore shampoos + Neutrogena's T-Gel shampoo. After using this Dove shampoo, my scalp immediately felt less itchy and doesn't feel as dry and irritated anymore just after one use. Great product overall and very worth it. Advice: For SD, it's best to use this product daily and use Neutrogena's T-Gel shampoo [or whichever medicated shampoo works for you] for flare-ups. Read more

This shampoo is so affordable, and it works very well! It is super easy to use and it leaves my hair super clean, very moisturized, and really soft. The shampoo its self is pretty thick and it smells so good. I have repurchased this many times, and I have had zero issues with it. There has also been no leakage problems at all. For the price, this works very well. It does contain fragrance, but my scalp feels way less irritated than a normal fragranced shampoo. And, my hair does feel stronger/thicker after 1 use compared to a normal shampoo. I use one of those gentle shampoo silicone brushes normally - to help properly get buildup off of my scalp without scrubbing too hard. This is just a normal item I use alongside any shampooing, so I don't accidentally scratch my scalp/hair with my fingernails which can cause your hair to become more brittle/inflamed over time. My scalp normally feels like it is throbbing after using something like the Kirkland brand rainforest botanicals moisturizing shampoo + conditioner. Pantene is not as intense, but still get a throbbing sensation (probably from the dry, winter climate). Though this product (Dove Damage Therapy Derma Shampoo) does contain fragrance - it is half the price of the other dry/itchy scalp options - and, still works pretty well compared to using normal shampoo. After a few days of using this shampoo, the dandruff was gone completely! It works well. Also, this shampoo smells so clean & fresh, unlike the others that smell medicinal & "minty". Worth the money! I am writing for 2 reasons. 1 life long dove buyer even shampoos, but this is the worst lather I have ever experienced. Bought it for my husband and son and they have begged me to by h/s instead., If you are familiar with h/ ‘smooth and silky’ it moisturized our hair like that, pretty good at taming frizz and puffiness, but don’t feel ‘clean’.
