Finding work pants that fit women is awful, I am so thankful to have found these. These are by far the best work pants I have ever owned. I will never buy carhartt again. They are super sturdy, comfortable, and the pockets are amazing. Order a size or two up like Dovetail recommends or they will be too small. Also, I would not recommend washing them frequently, and I always air dry them to avoid shrinking. I work in contracting and wear them two or three days a week and manage to not have them filthy. The pockets are perfect! So many useful pockets and they are so sturdy so you don't have to worry as much about tools poking holes. The rise on these are awesome so I can hang my drill on my belt without my pants falling down! They actually fit my body! I'm 5'9 and skinny so I have the worst time finding a long inseam. These pants are amazing. The rise is high which is awesome because I have to bend over and squat around the guys at work and I don't have to hold them up to avoid giving them a "show." The only downside is that they are expensive, but that said, I have probably spent 300 dollars with carhartt this year and those already need to be replaced. These, I don't see that happening. I am 5'8", 160 lbs. Bottom heavy and long torso. I purchased the 32W/34L black canvas stretch pair. I was expecting an 8 or a 10 tall basically. What came said a 6/34. They were almost too small to get on, but I did. The stretch helps and they are super cute. Glad they're not too baggy. I'm expecting to lose a little weight, so I guess alls well that ends well. Very glad I got the longer length too. Was afraid I might get a pair I'd trip over. Very satisfied and expect they will get more comfy as they are worn and washed a few times. I don't think they'll shrink to become unwearable. Love all the pockets. Durable bottom hem. Update: got the green ripstop. Love. Ordered size up. What came was a 14/34. See added photos) Comfy fit. I’ve purchased several pairs of Dovetail Workwear pants and love the way they fit. I needed a smaller pair because I’ve recently dropped a few sizes working my very physical job. These were just a tiny bit tighter in the waist than my size 6 Dovetails in other fabrics, as the stretch canvas runs a little smaller than the other fabric options. I have a pair of size 6 Britt Utility pants in cosy black denim that fit nearly perfectly, the 34” inseam is wonderful for tall girls, although the knee stitching runs about an inch too high on the thigh to allow my knee pads to hit in the right place. Liked the canvas fabric, it felt sturdy. Disliked the fact that I order a 28L, which would have been the perfect length, tried them on and they're too short. I measured the inseam and even though the label on the pants is 28, the inseam is 26. Also the waist is loose, butt is tight, legs fit good. It's cotton so I figured the butt area would stretch out and I'll just wear a belt. I love these pants, no pants have ever fit more perfect and are comfortable to work in. I usually ruin clothing and put holes in the knees. I need to buy the knee inserts but still I’m concerned with the weight of the denim. They’re not super thin, but they’re not heavy denim. They stretch a little bc of this and are more forgiving. I have to see how long they last before I can really tell if they are a good work pant. I had to exchange the first pair as I got a 6, but the 4/30 worked best for me. Read more
These are the best work pants I've found in a long time! Just ordered 2nd pair. I work in construction, so find the pockets useful. I have no problem with the price, as long as they last and I love them. I ordered up as suggested, so 8 instead of 6. (5'5", 130 lbs) They fit perfectly, and don't pinch my belly, which is often an issue.. They do slip down if I don't wear a belt, but I'd rather it be that way than too tight! (Plus I do some plumbing...) Love the fit and the fabric. I haven't tried the denim yet. Thanks, Dovetail! P.S.: I also have the Day Construct pants, which are a bit heavier feeling(more fabric, I think). I like them a lot as well though, they feel good on my body. I’m not in the trades but I love the style and functionality of these pants. Material is robust, high quality and well tailored. For me they fit my active lifestyle. I’m wearing them all the time. Haven’t been out for a hike in them b/c yet b/c I sweat a lot and like a fabric that would wick the sweat. But I’ll give them a try sometime and see how they do. The gusset crotch and articulated, reinforced knees should make them quite suitable for hiking. Im betting these will last forever and look great as they age.
