I had no idea at first if this thing was any good except for the reviews that were all positive. I just started using apple air tags, and I needed this key chain holder for my keys and for my cat and dog. The case arrived disassembled with a package of very teeny tiny screws along with a tool. I believe that it is a star screw, so you need to keep this tool put away in a handy place. The air tag fit in perfectly. It has to be an apple tag, perfectly round disk shaped. There are no instructions, so the only guessable thing was which way to attach the back lid. On my first installation, I'm pretty sure I did not align it properly, but the screws eventually went in all the way for a good tight fit. On my next air tag, I studied the fit more closely, and sure enough, you can see where the four corners align perfectly. You might need a magnifying glass to see it. That one screwed in much better and more securely. The tiny screws are a trip. Very hard to handle and get them screwed in. The process would be better handled with the holder case fixed with some kind of vice grip of a sort to allow free handling of the screws. But I had to hold the holder in my left hand while I screwed in the screws with my right hand. It's a little tricky and requires some dexterity. I dropped a screw onto the floor a couple of times, but amazingly I saw it land and found it. If you're not so lucky, I doubt that you would be able to find this tiny screw. Maybe that is why the seller added two extra screws for each holder. My first one was for my keys. It comes with a really nice key ring with a spring section where you just push it down and you can slip holder into it and do the same with wherever you attach it to, like a key chain. The second one was for my cat. I had to go buy a cat collar for my cat, one with a key ring. It attached perfectly. I was worried that my cat would be bothered by this extra bulk, but she seems to be OK with it. My friend needed one of these for his dog, and I bought another two-pack. I not only would buy this product again, I have already done that. I got this Airtag holder for my dog to attach to her harness, and it works great. It’s fully waterproof and feels durable enough to handle some chewing. It even came with a little O-ring for easy attachment, which was a nice touch. The screws are pretty small, but they included extras, which I really appreciated. Nice small AirTag case. Comes with the (4) screws to fasten the case closed. As well (2) extra screws and the torx bit to tighten them. There is a rubber o-ring inside to insure it is waterproof. Keychain to connect it to keys are good quality. Case does not block the location services or sound of the AirTag either. Read more

We like the size, shape, feel, and ability to use the cases. They do what they are meant to do. Normal short dashes through the rain from cars to house/businesses haven't affected the air tags thanks to these cases being over them. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the case muffles/mutes the air tag noise a bit too much. We can still hear it, but we really have to listen for it. If the item we have a tag attached to was inside something or under something, in a more noisy, or a bigger area, we might have a more difficult time being able to hear and locate the item w/air tag and this case. That being said, though, we have had to hunt for the items several times so far and we have been able to find them. Thank goodness!!! Hopefully our luck will hold. UPDATE : It is July 2024, and I am back to give an update to this review. The air tags and these holders are still going strong. We have continued to need to find our keys occasionally and have been able to track and find them because of these products. We have also used them to help keep track of luggage while on trips. They worked well for that purpose. + The holders have protected the AirTags well. + The holders have held up very well. + The holders still look good. + Our luck has held in that we haven't lost the tag and holder inside or under something that would muffle the locator sound even more to the point that we couldn't find the item, though we still wish the sound was a little louder. + I am back to purchase more of these holders --- not because we need to replace our previous ones, BUT because we need more holders for more AirTags! :-) We're very happy with these and hope the new ones will be as good as our current ones.
