I started using this stuff specifically to get the cigarette smoke smell and animal smell out of specific items because regular products weren’t working. It leaves a fresh and clean smell that lasts a lot longer than regular detergent alone. Dissolves easily in cold water and it’s cheaper than in stores. The only thing I suggest is to not use it on a short wash cycle, as I tried to run a “rinse and spin” cycle on something that was already clean but needed an extra scent boost and there were a few beads still in the wash after. For reference, I use a front-load washer and the short cycle is less than 20 minutes and always runs on the cold water setting, so it’s possible that it would completely dissolve in a top-load washer in that time frame since they typically use more water and have better agitators. I’m sure it would dissolve in that timeframe on a front-load washer as well if you have the option to use warm or hot water on the super short run or if you have a newer machine that uses a better agitator than my old washer. I’m not sure it technically helps with stain removal, but it doesn’t leave any stains or color deposits on any of my laundry, including the super light colors or white clothes. 10/10 recommend a trial run, ESPECIALLY if you’re looking to get the smoke or animal smells out of your clothes or bedding. Also, not sure if this is allowed in a review, but I use it with the fabric rinse liquid in the same scent, and that stuff rules. Together, they conquer all! Haven’t had to smell my familys’/friends’ cigarettes or dog pee in a long time! So, if you have people in your lives that you love and visit even though their homes smell like an animal shelter full of chain smokers, I HIGHLY recommend this stuff!!!! Read more
