This stuff really does work. I line dry a lot of cotton clothes. In high humidity, the slow dry time can result in musty mildew odors over time. This Downy Rinse was the only thing that really worked. Scent beads just made things smell like mildew AND flowers mixed. Marketing hype says this stuff is pH engineered to strip-out excess soap residue and really clean-out the odor causing elements. But I believe the hype. It works. This is the only laundry rinse brand and scent specifically that pulls odors from my clothes. These are those really hard to reach odors after doing strenuous activities that just likes to sit in your clothing. I will admit, I do sometimes run them through a second rinse cycle just to really tackle the odor if I need to, but I never find myself needing to do a third round. I figure if I need to work that hard, the shirt goes in the trash-on to the next. I am loving the newer sized bottles as I feel the smaller ones did not have enough product. We use this in every load of laundry during the rinse cycle. The price point is not my favorite part of buying this rinse, but it gets the job done.
