I'd looked at this product at the wholesale clubs and thought it was a bit pricey for the number of times you would use it in a small/medium wash load. Purchasing from this vendor was more sensible at their lower price. Now I can get the fresh scent on my washed clothes at at better price. Read more

I use this and I like it. I use it as one other person said… mix in bottle with hot water and use as fabric spray on furniture etc. (I’m not sure if Amazon will print my review or not due to some negative comments but here goes….♦️♦️ After researching this product I read this only contains 3 ingredients one being “Fragrance Carrier”PEG (polyethylene glycol as the frag. PEG is used in many products from perfumes, cleaning, personal, industrial, laxative (Merilax). Research further states that PEG is highly TOXIC and can cause various stages of cancer, skin diseases, etc. I know this sounds scary but DOWNY stands behind their product !!! They do admit that yes their product does contain a very small amount of PEG which is the part of their ingredient “Fragrance Carrier” which is alcohol based. The “Fragrance Carrier” alcohol based ingredient is said to be: Non-Toxic or Possible Minimal Toxicity.. no evidence to prove toxicity amount. THIS INFORMATION IS NOT LISTED ANYWHERE ON THEIR LABEL. I found this out thru research because of the ingredient listed on label “FRAGRANCE CARRIER” because I had come across this term on several occasions on other products, mainly ♦️SKINCARE PRODUCTS♦️ You can do your research (Google) on: “Downy Unstopables—Ingredients”. PEG will pop up and then ask “what is a Fragrance Carrier” and how is it used”. From there all kinds of info will come up…. some ok but mostly not ok. In fact since I was having so many skin issues my Dermatologist and PCP told me to read the ingredients list on everything and DO NOT BUY ANY PRODUCT THAT LISTS: Fragrances, Perfumes and more but especially those two because they do contain PEG……. So please beware !!! Use at your own discretion…. Decide for yourself !! BTW, I still use Downy Unstopables but not very much and have been using Downy Fabric Softner for over 15 years. They say use white vinegar. This is not the only product. ALL Fabric Softners, liquid or sheets, are under scrutiny and investigation by the FDA, CDC and other sources due to the possible toxic ingredients that are not listed on the labels.
