This liquid soap is one of my favorite soaps. The fresh, zesty citrus aroma is do invigorating and clean—not overpowering at all, just right. What really makes this soap stand out is how versatile it is. It’s a great value and a staple in my household. It has 18 different uses: body wash, face cleanser, hand soap, shampoo, shaving soap, toothpaste (yes, for real!), bath soak, foot soak, dish soap, laundry detergent, mopping floors, cleaning counters, washing produce, makeup brush cleaner, all-purpose household cleaner, car wash, camping soap, and if you have pets, pet wash. This is made with organic ingredients, gentle on the skin, and a little goes a long way. I also love how eco-friendly and effective it is. This is definitely a product I’ll keep coming back to. Dr. Bronners is a great do-anything soap! We use it for shower soap and it goes a very long way. This bottle between two people lasts at least a month or so. You really dont have to use a lot at all....it is a concentrated soap kind of like dish soap would be. The orange scent we got smells wonderful and is very energizing. I wouldnt say this stuff is very moisturizing per-say. You can tell it does moisturize a little, and is far superior to normal laurel-sulfate soaps...doesnt leave your skin dry, but I wouldnt expect it to work miracles. In my opinion it's a great value for the price. I have bought other scents and keep another bottle to divide and take it on camping trips in little Nalgene screw bottles. It would be a great soap to take on any kind of trip also, they have just about any scent in a lot smaller bottles. I also use it to clean around the house with occasionally. Read more

This is my first experience with castile liquid soap. So far I've used citrus, lavender, and pepperment full strength as a body wash and shampoo. Be aware...a little goes a very long way. I'm in my late 60s and have unprocessed gray hair (once auburn). My hair was starting to get a wee bit frizzy..losing it's once wavy nature. Using Nativia Coconut Oil has really helped but it still wasn't what I was hoping for. I think this soap might be the answer. I wash my hair once a week. I live in the country so I'm not exposed to city pollutants and grim. I've washed my hair about 5 times now with either lavendar or pepperment soap. I rinse my hair very well, towel dry, warm my hair with the blow dryer, and then work the coconut oil in. For those not familiar with coconut oil, it's a solid oil which liquifies at 76 degrees so it's very easy to work with. That's done the trick. My hair is so soft and manageable now. I use about a rounded teaspoon for my shoulder length hair. It's absorbed into the hair follicles very quickly so it's NOT greasy. I've also used these castile soaps in various homemade "recipes" for cleaning products such as dish soap and all purpose/shower cleaner. I'm impressed with the results. Personally I don't find any of the scents too strong but I know that's a matter of preference. The only soap and essential oil I don't care for is Tea Tree but absolutely love the other fragrances. I also find the Tea Tree soap a little oilier than the others. It leaves a slight oily film in my sink which I don't care for. I know Tea Tree oil has a reputation for possessing antibacterial qualities so I really wanted to try that one. I think I'll stick with vinegar and other essential oils for that property and nix the Tea Tree. I also purchased a few Now Essential Oils...Lemon, Lavendar, Peppermint, and Eucalyptus. I really like to add lemon to the citrus soap for a stronger fragrance in cleaning recipes. I'm still experimenting with the others. This senior citizen is happy and going greener every day. I have switched to natural shampoos because my hair would often get really greasy with store bought brands. I have read about Dr. Bronners shampoos and how it is made with natural organic ingredients. I have used this shampoo for about a month both as a body wash and shampoo for my hair and the bottle is still 90% full. The smell is a permeating citrus smell that refreshes both your body and your senses. One thing I did notice is that this shampoo seems to be "watered down" as others have stated. However, you could literally get a pea size of this shampoo and it'll be more than enough for your body because this shampoo has an amazing lather to it with little product. I feel like I could easily get 3-4 months of this product as a body and shampoo in one bottle showering every other day. I truly recommend this product since it is natural and has no other artificial ingredients. It also doesn't disrupt your natural oils but is still able to clean your body and your hair. Read more

I'm writing a review on soap. Let me tell you, this is a first. But this is a fantastic soap. A lot of soaps leave a film. I think there was even a commercial about that at one point if you lived in the 90's. This is the only one that actually doesn't leave a film. You put some of this on your favorite applicator and suds it up a bit, rub it all over, enjoy the smell, get under the water and rinse it off and you're clean. There isn't any nasty, want to be moisturizer film left on you when you're done. You're just clean, simple. The best part, you feel clean. You don't feel like you just cleansed yourself in lotion or something gritty. The best part. When you want to sit there in the warm water and just let it soak in, you can read the bottle. That's some good stuff right there. You think you're done but then you turn the bottle to the side and there's something new to read and it's all inspirational. It's like, not only can you smell the goodness but you leave ready to face the day with a little bit of something I can't quite describe. You just have to experience it. Read more
