I have been looking to purchase an activated charcoal soap for some time now, but most of the ones I looked at were bar soaps and what a mess a charcoal bar soap could be, no? I have combination / oily skin and I need powerful soap for my pores but I like natural products. I have been using Dr. Bronner's for years. I love that soap because it literally cleans everything and even takes off my makeup. I wanted to compare with this liquid soap so I tried once, but it's much milder. My friend who has dry skin cannot handle Dr. Bronner's because it's too strong for her, so I think this is good for people with sensitive or dry skin like her. I normally don't write reviews, but thought this was worth mentioning. For the past few years I have been using a name brand 100% pure Castille liquid soap as my body wash. I like the results and the way it rinses clean. It's pricey but worth it. While needing to resupply, I saw this stuff and thought Id try it. For 2 days I used it and was really surprised. The lather that a small amount generates is incredible. It rinses off really good and my skin felt great. Needing to soak some sore body parts, I sat in a hot bathtub and picked up the bottle of soap and started reading the bottle. I was really bummed to see one of the very first ingredients was palm kernel oil. I am not a tree hugger, but the rate that jungle and forest land is being cleared and the wildlife being kicked out with nowhere to go is sad. This is to plant the palms that generate this oil. The demand for it is so great that they are willing to anything to plant more of it. I wont use products with this ingredient. I'm kinda bummed because this is a really good product and I hope they will find an alternative to the palm oil that's in it so I can use it again. Read more

I have used this soo for YEARS….it IS a pricey, but it lasts me MONTHS…just the tiniest pea size a,lint works up a great lather …I will not keep any other soap near my kitchen sink !! I would say the the $ 19 cost is wELL worth it, as the 32;ounces last me 3-4 months !!! Read more
