During the cold/winter months, I like to keep the house at a brisk 74 degrees. Much cheaper to put on some warm PJs vs. heating the entire house. However, for my home office, where I spend most of my time during the week, I like it a little warmer. This heater does the job and then some. I'll turn it on to the middle heat setting (there are three: low at 700w, medium at 900w and high at 1500w) and just let it do its thing. The fan blows at a constant speed and is a little loud but I actually love the white noise. No one can hear it during my Zoom/Teams calls. Controls are simplistic. Left dial is for the thermostat and the right dial is for heat intensity. As mentioned before, the fan blows at a constant speed, but the right dial determines just how hot the air blows. What I do is when the temperature gets to where I like it, I dial down the thermostat knob until it turns off. The heater will then maintain that temperature. Lastly, there is a trip sensor to if the unit falls over, it automatically shuts off. This is great if you have small children or pets around. Really loving this heater! Read more

This little space heater by DR.PREPARE surprised me. It has a very small footprint, but it heats great for its size. I have another similar heater and although this one is smaller, it has a slightly larger fan with a stronger output. I like the first no heat setting (fan only), while the other three are all heat – LOW (700w), MED (900w) and HIGH (1500w). The fan blows at the same speed at all settings and isn’t the quietest, but I’d rather have a better heat output than it be ultra quiet. Has a built-in adjustable thermostat dial, carry handle and an anti-trip switch for safety. It must sit flat on the floor to work. If the unit tips over, it will immediately shut off. It has manual controls, there is no remote and no auto swivel function, but it is priced competitively. Well built overall and has a 6 foot 2-prong power cord. It is great for small rooms, bathrooms or under a desk. I can definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a compact yet mighty space heater. Read more

I am reviewing a Dr. Prepare space heater for one room. I used the space heater in a 12x12 room. I set it, using the selection knobs on the top, to the lowest settings. The low settings use the least amount of electricity and reduces the winter monthly electric bills by a lot. The type of space heater that will click off when the room is warm enough saves a lot on the electric bill, and that is this space heater. It heats the room fast and keeps it warm. The space heater does make a blowing air noise when it is heating. If a buyer uses the space heater in the bedroom, and the room is shared with a person who snores, or there is a lot of urban nighttime noise outside, the space heater blowing noise is a good substitute for a white noise machine, and helps one to fall asleep quickly and peacefully. I give the space heater two thumbs up. Read more

This heater has been great. The 1500 W output provides plenty of heat, and I really appreciate the three heat settings of low, medium, and high. The medium setting is the perfect sweet spot, unlike my other heater, which only offers low and high. Its compact size is another big plus, as it fits perfectly under my desk to keep me warm while working. The large round knobs are easy to adjust and give solid tactile feedback, so it’s always clear which setting you’re on. One small but thoughtful design detail I really like is the slight depression on the top. It makes using the rear handle more secure and comfortable when carrying the heater. Read more

Great heater. It’s pumps out the heat on the high setting; there is no doubt about it but I do have one tinny suggestion. The size of this bad boy vs. the heat output is incredible due to the small size. I was amazed by its performance. The blistering heat is nice on those cold days. It does have a setting to turn down the heat to medium or low setting. In case it does get hot where the heater is placed there is an added feature the thermostat knob. Just a quick turn of the dial to a reduced setting and it well turn off and back on depending on the heat in the room or cold. It’s very ease to set up straight out of the box, pull it out, plug it in and enjoy. It’s that easy and the price very affordable. There is a very annoying safety feature on the bottom that you have to be mindful of because if it’s not on a flat surface or to soft of a surface it will not run. The suggestion I have is there needs to be a blower setting. The fan blows at one speed; high and is a bit loud. I have been able to fall asleep when using it a night but would be nice if there was a fan speed setting. This is the only reason I did take a star off because of no speed setting and bit louder then I expected. It’s still a great buy for the heat and the power it puts out; I’m impressed. Happy times!! This little heater checks the main boxes people care about: it heats up fast, is easy to use, and is light enough to move wherever you need it. The three heat levels plus fan-only mode give enough control to dial in comfort in a small room, and the thermostat does a good job cycling the unit so it maintains the level you set without constant fiddling. Build-wise, the plastic housing keeps it lightweight but still feels solid enough for regular use, and the compact size makes it a good fit under a desk, on a table, or moved room to room. The safety features (tip-over and overheat shutoff, cool-down fan run) are reassuring if there are kids or pets around. Overall, it’s a simple, attractive, and effective spot heater for small spaces and offers good value if you want portability and straightforward controls over fancy extras. Read more
