T-shirts are in the same category as jeans. We own dozens and dozens of them throughout our life but only a very small handful get our attention for their comfort and fit. For me it was a pair of plain old Levi’s that I had in the 70s. They fit perfectly and had a softness that was comparable to our sleepy house cat, who did a great imitation of a pillow. A number of years later while I was dating the woman who would become my wife, I borrowed a T-shirt that she used as a comfortable summer nightgown. I was transformed. The fabric was of the softest and lightest cotton, with a thread count that you would normally find on a queen size bed at the Four Seasons (the hotel, not Giuliani’s garden center). This T-shirt was meant as a distraction for my 18 mo. grandchild on our summer airline flight to visit family. Worked great for a good chunk of time. I got it in yellow so I'd stand out.
