I love Dr. Smith's! This is the best diaper rash cream I've tried, and I've used about all of the big name creams. I use this at every diaper change to prevent diaper rash. My daughter had one instance of diaper rash (daycare wasn't using the cream at every diaper change) and it cleared it up after one application (it wasn't severe but red). The smell is pleasing, it rubs on nicely, and protects her little bottom! My mom first found this product on clearance at the pharmacy and I put it aside for other creams. I received this product at my baby shower in Texas. It was an add-on gift and the people that gave it to me swore by it. I didn't think much about it. I had it in the drawer of the nursery and forgot about it. When my son was born he was rushed to the NICU because of fluid in his lungs. He developed pneumonia and was on antibiotics for 7 days. You know what those can do to a baby's tummy and we had a horrible diaper rash. The nurses made their own rash formula in the hospital and it was just barely keeping his bottom clear. They sent me home with a small tube of their home made stuff but it wasn't working very well. I tried the usual diaper rash cream and I swear they made the rash worse, I remembered the Dr. Smith's in the drawer. I used it one night and the next morning the rash was gone. This is not a phony review. My dermatologist recommended it, and over the years I have used it on eczema, itching rear end (you know what I mean), heat and perpetration itch, and such, at my crotch. I use it strategically and sparingly most every day, on my here and there. Better results and easier to apply than zinc oxide. I am a senior with light to moderate skin issues in multiple places that I did not have when I was young. Read more
