This is an awesome mask. It's very warm and comfortable. I highly recommend. My head is smaller but it does stretch alot for any size of head. You can't even feel the wind through this. You can even wear sunglasses with this mask. It has holes for your glasses. It's very functional. Great price for your money. The protection is awesome. Read more
Overall I've been pretty satisfied with the balaclava: It fits nice and snug and certainly keeps the cold out while being reasonably breathable. My favorite feature is the eyeglass slits, which is something I hadn't seen before. The excess fabric around the neck allows you to create a nice tight seal. My only complaint has to do with the heating. Firstly, I just don't think it gets very warm. On a 30 degree day I wasn't sure if it was even working. Of course, for safety's sake, you probably don't WANT it to get too hot, and I generally felt like the fabric was doing enough to keep me warm already, but it's still a major selling point that I don't quite feel it delivers on. The other part of the issue is the button that activates the heating. The color code is kind of arbitrary (how would I know intuitively how hot "green" is supposed to be?), but more importantly you can't SEE the button while you're wearing it. There's no click or beep to let you know it worked, so you're kind of just holding the button down and waiting to see if you feel any heat (which, as I noted above, on a cold day I'm not sure how much you'll really feel anyway), and at what level. That being said, I'll definitely continue to use this very snug balaclava on especially cold days. I'll probably not bother with the heating feature, though. Read more
This is certainly warm in the cold MN winter. It fit is nice and snug on my head - not too tight though, so that is important. I wouldn't say it is particularly breathable just by nature the product, I usually have to pull the mask portion down if I am shoveling and need a deep breath. Overall, it feels like fairly good quality - the battery is my only question - it is wrapped in some tape (definitely doesn't feel as premium) - not a huge deal to me if it functions. Read more
You sure wont find a more comfortable heated balaclave than this. Do you have to be out in extreme temperatures? No worries, Dr warm has got you covered. The battery gives 8 solid hours of use before needing a charge. A suburb way to keep toasty warm. I give this poduct 5 Stars (Good value buy) Read more
This balaclava, like all Dr.Warm products, is comfy, well made, fits well, and heats fast. This has quickly become an essential piece of my winter outdoors gear for exercise or work on the coldest of days. It is easy to control with the color coded button to control temperature, and keeps you as warm as you want to be. The only reason I can't give 5 stars, though, is that Dr.Warm doesn't use USB chargeable batteries. They opt for a proprietary charger which works just fine, but that means you need to take it with you when traveling and if you ever lose it, you're out of luck until a replacement arrives. At this price point, I'd like to see USB charging. To be clear, I love this brand! They get everything right but the charger. Read more
We absolutely love all the Dr. Warm items we have gotten. We have a scarf, gloves, and now this balaclava! It's amazing how quickly this warms up once it's turned on. And all the items we have gotten fit my husband and he is 6'3" and 195 pounds. Also has a larger head and this fit perfectly well! Read more
I love these heated garments; I have two heated coats, a scarf, and gloves, and now I have this balaclava! It's so nifty! so far it seems good. the material is nicely made. we haven’t gotten to fully test it out yet, but so far we like it. it definitely be great for working in the garage or going to the junk yard in the frigid cold this winter. Read more
