2nd bottle I have tried. The 1st was the original scent then I tried the papaya coconut scent. Hand down the best liquid soap I have ever used. Both have a very nice smell and they lather very well. The soap isn't watery so you dont have to use too much to get the lather going. Also worth noting that the smells from the 2 I have tried are very unique. It's not your typical generic scent that most companies offer. I tried it because it's free of harsh chemicals and very natural. I never had a bad experience, never left my skin dry nor did I get any rash. It also leaves a nice smell on your skin and smooth feel. Will continue to use this product pretty much forever. Read more
I normally go for the peppermint Dr. Woods, but I use the Black Coconut and Papaya for my face and beard (Bald, but if I had hair I'd use this on it too). This particular black soap formulation I find rinses cleaner than anything I've used before. Not that I have traveled to the ends of the earth, to Shaolin temples to procure ancient and secret soaps, but this is seriously it. The label claims it is "99.3% Natural" so points for transparency, but it doesn't explicitly specify what the artificial ingredient is. The list includes a "Coconut Papaya Fragrance" which in my experience is the usual suspect. I do not have overly sensitive skin, and have not had a problem arising from the use of this soap. However, if you are sensitive to fragrance, you may want to choose another. Pros: + Pleasing scent (see Cons) + "99.3% Natural" + Rinses super clean, leaves skin feeling super clean but not dry + Feels very moisturizing Cons: - "99.3% Natural" Contains a seemingly artificial fragrance Read more
Smells good and makes my skin soft. Usually, commercial brands dry out my skin. This doesn't! Plus I'm use to usually commercial brands and experiencing the lather, this however doesn't lather up alot. Read more
Making batches of sugar scrubs for presents and myself. I’m loving the scent! It’s making me hungry... Knowing that I am using cruelty free products are a huge bonus for me. A lifetime customer here. I will be trying all the scents very soon! I have used this a few times and I am in love with the scent. I used to use other bases for my scrubs, almond oils, coconut oils, etc, but I love this scent. It is such a light scent it doesn't need any essential oils added to it to give it a good body. This is a great stand alone smell all by itself. The fact that it is also a soap is such a great bonus. It is so rewarding to know that I am making my own cruelty free, junk and gunk free, such a healthier alternative. I can not sing the praises enough of this product. The delivery was quick, the price is fair, I'm so happy! ;) Read more
I like this product because the ingredients are clear and obvious and it does what it says it does. I used it once to do laundry but was slightly disappointed because you have to use a little bit more for laundry. Some of the fragrance can be used for washing your dishes maybe almond or citrus. I personally use the citrus for washing dishes as my first choice and then almond as my second choice. I mostly use this for showering hand washing. My husband uses it for shampoo so it's a pretty decent product and I like the fact that I'm able to get it at an affordable price for 32 oz. Read more
I wanted a natural, nonsulphate, cleanser for the family and it doesn't do what it says. Read more
There isn't any real papaya nor coconut 🥥 in this, it even smells artificial too & burns my vaginal area like nothing I've ever experienced before. For the price I was expecting good value as far as ingredients. Read more
I have tried most of Dr. Woods' soaps and am pleased with all of the different scents. I use them to shampoo my hair every day. You only need a small amount and they lather easily. They will clean your hair thoroughly but are gentle enough to use every day. The 32 ounce bottle lasts a long time and the price is good! I also like that there are not many ingredients and you don't need a chemistry degree to understand the list. Read more
