I love these shoes! The color is a pure bright red, neither scarlet nor crimson. The spectator detail is subtle given the shiny patent finish and color, but gives them a little extra panache. The soles are sturdy and have enough grip to keep you steady without having so much friction they trip you up. The insoles have plenty of padding, as well as inside the heel to keep you comfortable for a long time. I have very flat feet that are somewhere between medium and wide width and these fit very well. The strap helps them stay on without binding. Construction appears well made so I anticipate I can wear these repeatedly without them falling apart. If I had one critique, it would be the sturdy black sole gives it a somewhat casual air, so I don't consider them to be truly dress shoes, but given the options for low heeled red shoes, these are winners in my book. I rarely wear any pumps or dress type shoes anymore. Those days are over for me! LOL!! So....I needed a pair of "just in case" shoes that were comfortable and these fit the bill. Now granted, I have only worn them around the house to get a feel for them and they seem to be comfortable and well cushioned, especially in the back where shoes can sometimes rub and cause irritation. That back collar is definitely padded!! I would say that these shoes run on the wider side. I have a flat, semi-wide foot and I found the shoe quite spacious even for a Medium Width. I will probably have to place a pad along the footbed to prevent my foot from sliding forward as I walk. For reference, I wear a size 10M in women's boots, a 9M-9.5M in sneakers or slip-on styles, so I ordered these in a 9.5 & I think that was the right decision because if I would've ordered a size 9M, my toes would be touching the front of the shoe. So go with your normal size. If they feel a little loose, I suggest wearing a thicker sock. This seems to be a good quality shoe! Read more
So cute and comfortable! I love the patent leather shine and vintage details. They are really comfortable, have a cushioned padding at the ball of your foot, and even with a chunky look, they are not clunky on your feet. This is my 3rd pair from this company (red patent, taupe, and now black) and for some reason, only these with the details run a bit smaller. I did order a half size larger for these and they fit perfectly. If you have narrow feet, these might be a bit wide for you. I'm normally a Medium width for this style show and these actually have a little give which I'm fine with, but could be a problem if you need narrow shoes. The only thing that prevents me from giving these shoes five stars is the fact that they aren't available in my size--five and a half. I realize a lot of companies don't make that size, but I really needed that size for these to fit correctly. I can sometimes get away with a six in some styles, but these are just a bit big. However, they're so good-looking that I'm making them work with insoles and by buckling them tightly. I love the look of them! And they are comfortable once I force them to work in terms of fit. These are suitable for all day wear for me. Perfect fit for my feet, very comfortable and elegant. In fact, sometimes I have restless legs and a painful left hip and knee, and putting these on and walking around eleviates my discomfort in a very therapeutic way. Good quality holding up good. Oh man did I hit the lottery with these shoes! Of the 40 plus pair I own, these are the most comfortable shoes I have! As comfortable as any flats, MUCH more comfortable than ANY heels, these are definitely all-day-wear shoes. The grip is perfect, not too much and not too little, it's perfect. Heel height is perfect, it makes them comfortable and functional yet still sexy and will compliment ANY style, from casual to business to dressy. Easy to walk in, very soft insole, and the elastic on the strap let's you 'set and forget' and you can just slip them on without having to contort yourself to fasten the strap and bucket. I will definitely be ordering another pair in a different color to go with other outfits (though black goes with everything and anything, it's just an excuse to buy more shoes). Side note, I can't say how these are with bare feet as I NEVER have and NEVER will wear shoes and skirts/dresses without nylons, but aside from sweaty stinky feet I would imagine the same fit and comfort would apply. Pantyhose are my best friend. I still can't believe how comfortable these are! As for size, I find they run true to size and fit perfectly, not too narrow/wide and not too tight or loose...just perfect. Not true to size. I have been a size 11 for 15 years. I went up a size each pregnancy lol. No I cannot be pregnant. Its impossible. I don’t have wide feet. My toes are smashed when I walk. I wish they had a half size bigger. I should return them. I just got so much going on started a 2nd job. Thats what I bought the shoes for work. Smh Idk when I’ll get around to it. The heel is comfortable with padding so as not to rub. Soft support. Personally love the style and splurged on this Oxford Mary Jane for my red high heel. I’ve been waiting for the right one. I also bought this in flat black for Fall and Winter. The Saddle shoe would be equally nice! Someone in my family saw mine and claimed the black and white ones! I have wide toes and narrow heels.
